Thread Details

Hi! I'm just wondering if there is a thread for the Saving Star program? I could only find one that is more than 420 days old.

I was wondering if we can do a thread to keep up with all the new stuff they offer?

I was also wondering if my daughter gets an Amazon gift card can she give it to me to use towards something for her son/my grandson?

Here is the info from the other thread:

Saving Star! NEW program!!! Register your store loyalty card for e-coupons.
www.savingstar.com [savingstar.com]

Select the eCoupons you like and we'll link them to your store loyalty cards.

Use your loyalty card at checkout (note: your bill will stay the same).

Your money is automatically added to your SavingStar account! You can cash out at $5 for Paypal payment or Amazon GC!

What is SavingStar?

SavingStar is the first and only national, fully-digital grocery eCoupon service. There is nothing to clip and nothing to print. Finally!

How do I use SavingStar eCoupons?

SavingStar is a paperless way of saving with eCoupons that link to your existing grocery and drug store loyalty cards. Here's how it works: after a one-time registration of your store cards, saving is quick and easy. Simply click the eCoupons you want on savingstar.com or our iPhone® or Android® apps and we'll link your eCoupons to all of your registered store cards. When you use your card at checkout like you normally do, your savings are automatically added to your SavingStar account. (Note: your grocery bill will stay the same.) Once your savings reach $5, you can pick your payout from a deposit into your bank or PayPal account, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to American Forests.

Will you be adding more payout options?

Yes! SavingStar is the only service that lets you choose how to save. More options will be added periodically. Have an idea? Let us know!

Does SavingStar offer iPhone® or Android® apps?

Yes! If you haven't already done so, click here for iPhone® and here for Android® to download the apps. These apps allow you to choose eCoupons while on the go – including while you are shopping – and also help you remember which items to purchase to redeem your eCoupons.
Which stores participate in SavingStar?

Nationwide, over 24,000 stores participate representing nearly 100 retail chains. Never satisfied, we are working hard to bring you even more places to save. If your favorite store is not listed as a participating retailer, feel free to let them know that you would like them to join SavingStar.
How often are new eCoupons available?

Currently, SavingStar makes most new eCoupons available on the first of every month – though new offers may become available at any time.
How will I know that I've received my savings?

All savings will be posted to your SavingStar account empowering you to track exactly how much you've saved over time. We'll also send you an email to alert you when your savings post.

How quickly do my savings post to my SavingStar account?

Your savings will typically post to your SavingStar account between two days and two weeks after your purchase, depending on how quickly stores send us purchase data. In rare cases it can take up to 30 days. SavingStar is actively working with retailers to post your savings as quickly as possible.

Are SavingStar eCoupons doubled by retailers?

Retailers typically do not double digital coupons. This is also true for SavingStar eCoupons.

I'm a member of Upromise and see that its Grocery eCoupons are powered by SavingStar. Can I participate in both Upromise and SavingStar?

Yes. In fact, SavingStar (which was created as an independent company when it was spun out from Upromise) provides the eCoupons for the Upromise service. You may register for both the Upromise and SavingStar services, including registering your same store loyalty cards in each service. However, you may only activate a particular eCoupon in one service during a single promotion period. In the future, you'll see SavingStar powering other rewards services as well.

My store is participating, but it doesn't have a store loyalty card. How do I save at my store?

There are a handful of SavingStar participating retailers that do not have traditional store loyalty cards. Some have "Upromise keytags" resulting from their participation in the Upromise Grocery eCoupons program which SavingStar powers. In these cases, you may register the retailer's Upromise keytag in your SavingStar account. As is the case with any card that you register, SavingStar will know to credit the account that you have used to activate any particular eCoupon offer. If you don't have one of these keytags you can get one at the retailers' customer service desk. (Note: you don't need to be a Upromise member to register a Upromise keytag with SavingStar or to save with SavingStar.) Other retailers have other forms of unique identification numbers, such as phone numbers, that can be used. See the card registration page in your Account for details regarding each individual retailer.
https://savingstar.com/

Select the eCoupons you like and we'll link them to your store loyalty cards.

Use your loyalty card at checkout (note: The total on your receipt does not change at checkout and the savings are not printed on the receipt).

Your money is automatically added to your SavingStar account within 2-30 days! We'll email you when your savings post.

Hmmm. Interesting. Nope, none of those are Unilever. Impulse carton of Ben & Jerry's, maybe? laugh out loud
laugh out loud Maybe my alter ego purchased that...must be why my clothes aren't fitting anymore. Well, doesn't matter anyway. I made two more purchases of dove yesterday so if it was a glitch I certainly made up for it!

I think some stores report prices before savings cards. I bought 4 Breyers that were B1G1 at Food Lion. My total was $12.98 yet it showed that I completed the offer with Savingstar and I did not buy any other Unilever.

It takes anywhere from 2-30 days to credit. Most stores are within a week, but Kroger usually takes almost 2 weeks to credit. Give it a few more days & it will probably credit

It takes about 48 hrs for the credit to appear in your account. You'll usually get an email notification too.

The Dove deal includes all Unilever stuff...so if you got Degree or Clear or Nexxus or Skippy or Hellmanns or loads of other brands, those count too. Pretty sure they don't include tax.

I'm still confused about the Unilever deal. It says ALL Unilever but if you click the icon below it specifically lists certain Unilever products that are participating.

If ALL Unilever were participating, wouldn't there be a double dip with the Lipton Tea promo since that is a Unilever product?

Meow. Wink

I am not a cat lover. My sister is deathly allergic to cats. When we were growing up we wore each other's clothes and if I ever even touched a cat, she would be ill for days. I learned to stay away from them and, just from habit, mostly still do.

As I said, I am not really a cat lover. (Now CATS are another thing altogether!)

I don't think they bottle the drinks. They're probably bottled from a company like Pepsi/Coke

So far, I have earned about $14. Does anyone know if there is a time limit for redemption? I'd like to wait until I have around $20 earned, but I don't want any to be lost for not having cashed in early enough.

I had $1.75 in there for months and months and got curious one day and started looking around the site to see if I would lose it or if it expired. All I really found was this:

"If your SavingStar Account becomes Inactive, SavingStar will deduct a monthly Inactivity Fee of $1.99 from any Awards received in your SavingStar Account. Your SavingStar Account will be considered "Inactive" if, for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months you have not activated an offer, received an Award, or withdrawn Awards from your SavingStar Account."

So my guess is as long as it does not go inactive its fine.

Chazzz

It doesn't need to be the same. Mine is different and it lets you type in the email for the pay pal redemption each time.
