If you need a grill tank, as I do, and don't want to do the "exchange" thing, Sears has the following for $23.91, FREE shipping with SYWM:

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

For those not in the know, costco B&M has an empty "Pre-Purged" cylinder with overfill protection and Full/Empty Guage for 27.99. Not sure what brand it is.

For refills, check U-Haul's website for your local shop and check prices right on the website (they vary greatly, even locally between stores): http://www.uhaul.com/Propane/

Sears has the Worthington 20lb propane cylinder/tank on sale for $25.17 before tax. These are usally $39.99. These can be filled at most propane places for less than $10 (propane runs $1.99 a gallon in my area right now). Free in store pickup (most stores carry these)

should go without saying, but before someone asks...this is an empty tank. you will need to pay $15-$20 to fill it or around the same to exchange it for a full one...

And as responsible slickdealers... remember... refills (typically) give you a full 20 lbs, exchanges are (typically) 15~17 lbs.

Propane... shake head

Seriously though, I do use propane (not for grilling though laugh out loud) and have two tanks. I bought a used tank for ~25 that was partially filled at my LP store. So this is great for a new tank, but if like new condition is o.k. with you, check out your local LP store.

Also, for those of you that have things that use the camping propane cylinders, you should look at the refill adapters: LINK [amazon.com]. I have one because I need the little tanks for my Mr. Heater and Weber grill that uses propane to ignite charcoal. It doesn't refill the tanks all the way, but it fills them enough that you don't have to keep purchasing those tanks.

If your old propane tank is due for a hydro test (check the date stamped on the handle) or has the old style valve, go to a tank exchange to trade for a newer one. Smilie

I've found that U-Haul offers the best deal on a tank + refills. The tank I got has a gauge on it which is pretty cool. Came out to around $20 to fill, and $25 for the tank, so probably really similar to this.
