TARGET THREAD RULES:

  • Do not ask (even in a covert way) for any coupon that has been scanned or discuss any coupon that is not used for its intended purpose. This goes for ALL scanned – this is what ALTERED means – this will cause this thread to shut down, per Moderator warning.
  • Do not post directly to Ebay auctions. It is considered self-promotion because the mods don’t have a way to verify if you are the seller or not.
  • Do not discuss or promote unethical and/or illegal activities with coupons or GCs (i.e. using expired coupons, using fake coupons, etc). Do not post expired coupons. Do not discuss ways to use expired manufacturer’s coupons.
  • Do not discuss ways to misuse the true intent of a manufacturer coupon.
  • Target.com has changed to the E-Centives coupon printing system where you have to download special software that keeps track of what you printed, like bricks coupons. The coupons print out directly to your printer and now have a limit of 2 prints per computer.
  • In keeping with SD rules, multiple per pages (MPPs) coupons ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED.
  • No begging for coupons allowed. You may ask where a coupon originated but that is it. Requests for Coupon Trades should be directed here.
  • Finally - Mod Alert any fighting! The mods would rather catch it in the beginning, versus going back 5 pages to see what happened.

How do I let someone know they've posted a no-no?
  • If you feel it would be beneficial and helpful to the thread as a whole, go ahead and post an answer. But if you need to correct someone on an etiquette issue or on coupon use, try PM'ing them first. That avoids embarrassment and negative posts. The mods are watching our thread closely--we want to keep things helpful and pleasant.

I have a request/new rule that will will need to be implemented in threads such as this from now on.

When you make a post you need to avoid doing a copy and paste of the work of someone else. It is stealing to copy and paste things directly from other sites such as the TT site.

We have been contacted by them and asked nicely to stop doing that.

If you see good coupons or deals just we love to have you share them with us, just be sure to rewrite them before posting.

This thread has been renewed to change the first post to the wiki and add 3 more wikis.

I made a couple of T stops today to take advantage of the GC coupon. Bought a new printer at my second stop, when I left the house this morning a new printer was the last thing on my mind. Guess I was bound & determined to use those GC coupons. EEK!Embarrassment

Got a few Christmas presents at my first stop & of course some Threshold linens. I absolutely LOVE the placemat that says 'The Treetops Glisten'! I've gotten 6 so far between 2 stores, they are perfect for our cabin in the mountains that is surrounded by lots & lots 'o trees. nod

At my second stop something happened & I'm just wondering what y'all's thoughts are on it...

So I'm standing at the checkout in line waiting & I notice that the customer in front of me has TONS of health & beauty products. I look closer & I realize its ALL P&G stuff. Small bottles of Olay lotion, the cheap Gillette razors, Olay soap etc. At this point I'm thinking, hmmmmm. So sure enough I look at the little shelf where you put your purse & I see coupons. When the cashier got everything rung up he asked her something I didn't catch & she gave him a number that he typed in the register, I'm thinking the customer is an employee & she gave her number for the discount.

She handed him a stack of coupons & me being the Mrs. Kravitz that I am started looking at them as he scanned them, all of the coupons were of course P&G coupons including $5 off Olay (probably Regenerist) & $15 off of Gillette which is actually for the Senso I think. She did not have any Senso razors in her cart. She gave him 4 of each type of coupon. I started thinking they were in on this together so I didn't say anything but then at the end he did question her about a couple of the coupons & gave them back to her so maybe not. The coupons he questioned were only $2 ones so maybe he noticed my interest & tried to throw me off, I dunno.

Her pre-coupon total was $466, after coupons it was $217, she paid with a Target gift card & apparently there was enough on there to cover the balance because the register said $0 due & he gave her back the gift card.

At this point I'm thinking should I talk to the manager & tell him/her what just happened, since I'm pretty sure the customer is an employee, or just let it go. Well, I couldn't let it go. After I paid for my dang printer that I didn't even know I needed I went to look for the manager & ended up with the LOD. I showed her my receipt & told her she might want to look at the transaction before mine because it wasn't right & I explained about the $15 coupons etc & I told her the before & after totals. The whole time I'm talking she's just nodding her head & seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of me. She said she was going to look at the transaction right then but when I looked at the register as I was walking out the door she wasn't there. I guess she will look at it sometime tonight.

I was a little hesitant about saying anything because I guess part of me was feeling a little hypocritical. When the Glade Expressions coupon was out & taking $8.99 off for a $5.99 item I certainly didn't point it out & the same for other bogo coupons, so I'm no angel I guess but I've never tried to use a dang $15 coupon on a $5 razor. I guess the volume of stuff she got & her being an employee just rattled me, I've never witnessed anyone clearly misusing coupons like that.

If you haven't fallen sleep by now thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

I read it all. I'd be doing the same thing you did, trying to at least bring it to the attention of fraud couponing when they give me a day and half of grief for using a $3 tq on 2.98 clearanced napkins. Target is all over the place taking coupons maybe it was an inside job and the cashiers knew each other. Thanks for the share

The store in Lake Elsinore had the Figits tagged at $15 but were sold out and giving rain checks. It may be worth checking to see if your store has the same option.
I saw the green Figits this morning and got 1 for my GD, but I also need a blue one for 5 yr old GS. This evening I went to a different Target and the shelf was empty, but was signed for $15 TPC Big Grin until 12/15. I guess I'll have to keep looking Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) for a few more days.

On the UNO cards -- a woman in front of me was buying these in sets of 12, along with gum to get just over $50 to get the $10 GC. She paid with Uno coupons and repeated the transaction 4 times! She also had other stuff already bagged in her cart, but I could clearly see the UNO transactions. JMO, but this was unreasonable, so it's no wonder that many T's are no longer coupon friendly.

I read it all, too, and I feel the same way --- I take so much grief and worry so much about doing the right thing with my coupons and people who abuse it are ruining it for EVERYONE. Burns me up.

No kidding. I mean, maybe she had a legit reason for it, like she runs a program for needy kids or something... but if not, ugh.

Thanks clumsy. Smilie I'm right there with ya on the grief we get, that might have played a roll in me being a tattletale. Lol Gonna take a $15 coupon for something that isn't even there but have a fit over me only paying 19 cents for a placemat?! Humph.

Sets of 12? How did she get past the 4 coupon limit?

Great question! I didn't even think about that, but I could clearly see her giving the Qs and the TM counting them . . . maybe he put them in as a price adjustment or something???

About 3 years ago I had to return a gift card to something and I took it back with the receipt and they deactivated it and returned it and I got my money back. Hope it will still work for you.

If the Fandango logo is on their website, then they probably do take them. But you would not use them to pay at the theater, you would add them to your Fandango account and use them to pay for tickets that you order ahead of time from the Fandango website. If you go to fandango.com and search for that theater and find it, then they accept it. HTH

What you do is buy the tickets online at Fandango's website and print them, or just the mobile fandango app.

I am having the hardest time getting Target coupons to print - the program just won't talk to the printer. And I've tried multiple computers, browsers, and printers.

Before I keep fighting the system - does the $2 scrabble coupon apply to the $8 scabble that's on sale? (though at this point, I'll have to do a missed coupon if I ever get it...)
I am having the same trouble and hate, hate, hate it!

You asked for our thoughts - so I will give you mine.

You should have kept your thoughts to yourself --- when people go and complain about coupons to managers it makes life worse for those of us who use coupons!!! You make them paranoid that all couponers are crooks --- even when we are using the correct coupons on the correct items. We will have coupons which say "Limit 4" and they will read the 1 per purchase and come up with 10 reasons NOT to accept legitimate coupons.

You said yourself that you have allowed overage to go through for some coupons --- did someone complain about your behavior? What would you have done if they did? Would you like it if some manager decided to come over and tell you that you couldn't use your coupons because they were taking off too much - that you simply were not going to be allowed to use coupons because someone else decided they didn't like your coupon use?

Seriously - I don't know you or the shopper - but you sound as if you are a really meddlesome person - I feel sorry for the shopper who was in front of you.
