I saw this on clearance for $37.03 at Home Depot #6966 - YMMV. There were two units left, but I didn't purchase it because one looked used and the other was missing the sprayer. When I scanned it at the register it was still $37.03, so it's not a penny yet. BOD is 5/2/12.

The sprayer may not be any good but according to the product page THIS INCLUDES A BATTERY AND CHARGER, which makes this deal very good for someone with the ONE+ system already who needs/wants a spare battery or a charger.

reviews are horrible. maybe worth it, but I'll stick with my LVP paint sprayer

"I decided to purchase a small sprayer to paint 100 ft of neew fencing. This ryobi cordless sprayer seem like a great buy. You get 2 lithion batteries and a charger retail alone $120 bought separately. Great Deal right? get the sprayer for $29. Well the srayer is worth maybe $20.00 throw $9.00 for the stylish bag. Really there is no great deal here. As, you can tell from the other reviews all very poor!! My experience was not good.. I wasted my stain, from the unit dripping from the top of the sparyer, just above the the twist on cup. The sprayer will work great for the first 3 ft. Until you need a new battery. Your spray tips work great for about 12 ft. the stain was Behr premium plus solid color stain. So my product was almost water thin. Your spray tip will begin to shoot to streams a high stream and a low stream hitting your shoes. I stopped to clean the tip, same result, stop to change out the atomizervalve and cleanout piston same result. Change the fan tip to the cone tip, This tip actually sprayed a stream of paint that caused the paint to run very bad, you will have to have a brush handy to smooth out the runs.
After about 3hrs used 2 gallons of stain painted one side of my 6ft by 100ft fence. It looks ok. but the frutrations of changing out 4 batteries and refilling the half full srayer canister everytime because the sprayer will sputter if you don't. This Home Depot Project was a total BUST!! The Power Of Home Depot? Really. Why did I select this in the first place Ryobi put out a p[lus one system excellent drills, and saws. This Paint sprayer Absoulutely Worthless!!
Its being return tomorrow."

I looked at this time the last time around - read the reviews on the Home Depot site. It has a lot of problems. If you get one, make CERTAIN you try it out during the warranty period. I love the idea of the cordless Ryobi sprayer. I purchased multiple Ryobi ONE items with the discount + rebate offer a couple of years ago and picked up some refurbs and love the system - but this looks to be one of their relatively few lemons (yes there are better Li-ion units, but for price/performance for the home handyman they are still a good value).

One has to wonder why junk like this gets posted as a slick deal. Wasting money on items that go to the land fill is not slick at all.

Bummer, out of stock in my area. This would be worth it just for the battery and charger for those of us with ONE+ tools already.

I have one of these (picked up a few years ago when they used to come with 2 high capacity li-ion batteries) off of a Slickdeal at the time that most were touting just for the value of the two batteries. Mine is actually not too bad, and I found it very useful when I painted my house. Maybe not professional grade, occasionally spits out some blobs that you need to have a roller handy to smooth them out, but that's usually at the beginning or end of a can of paint, in between, it really works pretty well making a fine easily controlled spray. Certainly made my house project go a lot faster. I've been very happy with it for the price I paid (I think probably more than double this SD)

Because at $38 this would be a great eBay money maker (parting out the set), or maybe even a break-even item (selling the sprayer) if you already have Ryobi's One+ tools and just wanted the battery or charger, or both.

you probably should have thinned the paint/stain. most anything needs to be thinned when you run it through a sprayer. that being said i have never really been a fan of these smaller can type sprayers...

Im reading this wondering why your posting things you have no idea what your talking about... I have been painting for almost 15 years professionally. Never once have I thinned the paint. It would change the quality and the color adding anything to paint. IF a "paint sprayer" has to be modified in some way to "spray paint" its called junk. Never once have I needed to add anything to spray paint on a house in my 15 years.

If I were you I wouldn't post on here admitting that you're a scam artist.
