With all the deals on Kenmore, I'm not sure this is comparable. This deal is more convenient with FS and no need to order separately.

This blows the Sears/Kenmore deals away. Believe me, I had a whole set of Kenmore ordered until I started looking into this Frigidaire set at Home Depot, then ended up cancelling it.

The Kenmore deal sucks if you are looking for a whole set because you have to order each piece individually. That being said, you pay $69.99 for each item for delivery. Mind you most people can pick up the microwave, and maybe even the dishwasher locally, however that still leaves $140 for the fridge & stove...not to mention Sears charges an extra $10 per appliance to haul away your old stuff. Home Depot is free, and delivery is free as well...not to mention everything on the same order. I found the actual prices to be cheaper as well. If you could find a comparable set of appliances for cheaper I'd be impressed to see it.

Maybe a good price, but Frigidaire quality is poor (I own them and know).

Maybe they have improved in the last 7 years though.

Sorry.

I think you get what you pay for . . . I'd get higher quality stuff myself. Good deal though probably.

Agree here on Frigidaire being poor quality. Would not get any appliances with them after having problems with a dishwasher that was only a couple years old, getting that replaced and then having problems with the replacement as well.

Believe me, I've researched these concerns. The fact of the matter is that depending on where you purchase your appliances...the same Kenmore dishwasher could be made by the same manufacturer as a Frigidaire dishwasher. You may have had a defective model dishwasher with known issues. I've read forum after forum where people have nightmare stories after nightmare stories regarding every brand...Kenmore, GE, LG, Whirlpool...you name it. The key is to buy whatever you get, cheap enough...so then you can buy the extended warranty.

Here is an interesting link:

Appliance repair tech for 7+ years now, Frigidaire keeps us VERY busy. Buyer beware.

Is there an option to get a gas range instead? All these deals have electric. I was @ Home Depot today and they only had 3 gas ranges on the floor, and like 25 electric ones. Is gas not popular anymore?

does anyone know if the extra parts they say are required are actually required? They add alot of cost.

I've been an appliance installer for 34+ years and Freekindare is the worst product overall for service and durability. I would not have one in my house for free. That being said, there are only three manufacturers of otr microwaves and the frigidaire is the same as the Ge and others. A range is a box that heats and fridge a box that cools so, if you don't care that the knobs and handles and trim will fall apart much faster than other brands, go for it. That leaves the dishwasher which is by far the worst piece of $#*% made by anyone, followed closely by Frigidaire's laundry offerings. Listen to the service tech.

Extra parts would include a cord for the range - the one on your existing unit should be fine if inspected. A dishwasher installation kit which is rarely needed in the areas that I work because the old unit isn't usually thirty years or older. A waterline kit for an icemaker is usually crap and not needed unless you have polyethylene tubing now. I carry all parts but I only sell them to the customer if I honestly feel it is in their best interest.
