My dad called 7 plus times because of a billing issue and then he seen the deal for .99 and it just worked in his favor. And as far as the CS rep was talking, they DIDNT want to loose his business..

Only keep calling 7+ times if you don't value your account. Sprint has terminated service of people who call them too many times with issues.

This is active now, you have to call 1888-273-9460 .This is the retentions dept. and takes about 20 mins from start to finish. They are going to tell you they cant do it and they will only give us the 49.99 price. Just keep calling if they dont give you the price. My dad called and they said I see that you have called 7 times and your account is at risk (as in my dad was not being treated right, and he could potentially cancel the service ) what can we do. And he just said that he wanted the Sams club price match of .96, but Sprint does .99. She put him on hold a bit, but then it went thru. Good luck.

Guys This DOES work with current account eligible for upgrades too.

888-882-4030 for Everything Plus Plans. I called this number 2 times. The second time I asked to speak to their supervisor, the supervisor knew exactly what I was talking about and transfered me to Account Services. I made sure that the supervisor stayed on the line with me during the transfer. The Account Services rep was confused at first, but after she spoke to her supervisor everything was a go.

Works FINE for Sero-P Customers Smilie

For SERO legacy, when you review your account after the purchase, do you see the plan change or would this be later after receiving the phone and activating it?

It seems like (from that link) the upgrade program should have been discontinued by now. Clearly, it still exists in some manner (official or not) based on the experiences shared in this thread.

Myself, I'm on a SERO-P account and still under contract at the moment. In my recent experiences the Retentions department has been less likely to help SERO users. I used to have a lot of luck with them but with the decline of Sprint services the last couple of years (all the changes for the worse for customers) I stopped being surprised when they seemed to care less about any threats of canceling service with them - ESPECIALLY as a SERO holder. I began to conclude they were actually TRYING to get rid of us.
Like all the other Sprint promotions, you just have to keep calling until you find one that is willing to do it for you.

You are absolutely right with SERO discrimination though. I am so tired of them telling me what a great deal I have. I mean come on, $59 a month for mad slow 3G connection is not really a deal. I am still with you guys because of the promise of Wimax, which didn't happen, and the LTE, which is going to take forever to get here. You know, I bet Sprint is going to add another BS fee on my bill when Sprint is done with LTE rollout.

You ain't kidding! Slowly but surely the chasm between SERO and 'normal' carrier plans that balanced everything out and made it worth dealing with the slow speeds and bad service as a trade off for the savings is getting smaller and smaller. They're making it easy for people to jump ship. Sprint used to lead the way with customer friendly features and benefits and now they're in that unbelievable race with the other US carriers to be the worst for consumers. I'm just teetering on that edge now where I used to claim that you'd have to pry SERO from my cold, dead, kung-fu grip hands.

The new LTE fee will likely be a "Customer Loyalty and Appreciation Premium charge" for $10 that applies to all new accounts. shake head bounce

Speaking of all this... Has anyone had any luck with the S3 for $.99 in the past 48 hours, or even the Galaxy Note II at a discount or any sort? Lol - I can't believe I'd consider giving them another 2 years for the GN2... but I'm just jonesin' for that handset. May be worth signing myself over to them with the risk of an ETF the next time Sprint does something screwy to me/us.

YMMV...
I received my 99 cent S3 plus CA Sales Tax last Tuesday which I ordered on Thanksgiving Day (still unopened and still inside the UPS sealed delivery box)- couldn't decide if I wanted it- or if I wanted to wait for the S4 or to get the Note II-
I have never even held either the S3 or Note II in my hand- after talking with Account Services Escalation Dept. for SERO/Employee Accts. today- CSR will call me back Thursday- but in principal I agreed to "Return my unopened S3 before the 14 days is over" and order a "Titanium Gray Note II" for
$49.99 plus applicable taxes for CA (after CSR applied service credits)- I told CSR- that granted the S4 is very appealing- I think getting a Note II- is technology in between an S3 vs.S4

CSR also reminded me that if I get the Note II that my monthly payment will go up $20.00 (which I knew already- since have to move from SERO 500 to SERO-P 500).

Happy Holidays!
In terms of performance, GN2 is a little better. The big difference is the size of it in your hands. I recommend people to visit a Sprint store and compare both.

How were you offered a GN2 for $50? Also, did they say anything about an S4?

Why are you paying $59 for the same 3g speed you get on SERO 500 $30, it is essentially a true unlimited everything plan with at least pick 1; unless of course you just wanted to use the newer phones.

I'm sure someone will let you know about that .99 S3 soon enoughWink

The CSR did not mention anything about the "S4"- I brought it up myself- since I am registered for CES2013 (may not go though) because of business- I did tell him that "rumors" are that it will be shown there (since if you didn't know the chips have been in production for weeks already). Suppose to go on sale by March 2013 but I did see something that it might be April 2013.

Yes it is for a "Titanium Gray Note 2"- I asked how was the white color- he said- they are using Note 2's in Titanium Gray in his section- and it is the popular color- compared to getting scratches on the white.

As far as pricing- took alot of talk with a few CSR's- all said- not gonna happen- until I tried to contact a person in Executive Services- CSR who answered said that person was transferred to another location- so he asked what was my question- CSR said he had to transfer me to his counterpart in Executive Services for Employee Accts (SERO) due to a Sprint realignment in services- we talked and he'll call me back tomorrow (he's off today)- he might even throw an additional small credit to get a case for it (he said he would try- but discounting (with service credits) it from $299.99 to $49.99 plus applicable taxes- was already a big discount for a recent phone.

Again YMMV- depends on their mood and usually time as a customer and not getting upset and raising your voice.

I can't answer that as far as when this deal was offered, but I can tell you that even if you had an upgrade available now you are probably not going to get in on this now. I actually tried yesterday and the best they were going to offer me was $99 for an S3. I purposely tried yesterday because I knew from leaks that the BOGO deal for the S3 was starting today, and once it started, all CS reps are going to point to that and say it's the deal you can have now (take it or leave it).

The rep I got on the phone yesterday in retentions actually "leaked" the BOGO offer to me right after saying she could offer me the S3 for $99, claiming that waiting for the BOGO would actually benefit me. I kindly asked her "How? - It's basically the same thing, isn't it?" because it's either one for $99 or two for $199.99. She paused, sounded puzzled, then said, "Yeah, I guess you're right". Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

So anyway, if you want the S3 now, the BOGO is the best way to go. It's certainly not $.99, but that ship has sailed. Frown

I am trying to find a deal on the s3 or the note2. I used the chat function @ sprint and the best they could offer me was $199.99 for the s3 and $299.99 for the note.
I saw on amazon wireless the upgrade price of the s3 now is $99.99

I am out of contract, at least on the one line...been a Sprint Customer for 10 years, paid on time all that...maybe the days of getting things from Sprint are long gone. I dont think the BOGO on the s3 is a good deal because I only need 1 phone lol.

Any suggestions>?? My evo is starting to crap out, its rooted but....

s3 on sprint is a raw deal unless its free. its not a world phone unlike verizon or others and sprints service recently has taken a down turn plus the $10 smartphone fee is nickel and dime'ing with no value.

You guys might want to go check your sprint bills...

***Ok, i spoke too soon... the way the e-bill is presented is a bit confusing, they didnt specify what all the charges and deductions are and taking previous balance and activation fees(that arent supposed to be here) into account, it adds up correctly more or less.

False alarm haha

In which bill do you see the activation fees?

I upgraded on 11/22 (via phone with $0.99 for S3) and the CSR said that the upgrade fee cannot be waived. But when I check my ebill (dated 12/7), does not mention the upgrade fee. Will this $39/line of upgrade fee show up in the next month's bill?

I do see the new plan rates (SERO to SERO-P), plus phone equipment charges ($2.10) on this bill.

Anyone got a recent bill where the rep said that they would not waive the upgrade fee?
