kasper is 79$ now, price increased?
Frys deals run weekly, Friday - Thursday. Rebates may span longer periods including before the start and/or after the end of that week, but Friday at 12:00AM the prices will often change.

Need help! Here is what Micro Trend's upgrade rebate claims for the proof of previous products:
Proof of prior ownership of a retail (boxed or downloaded) stand-alone version of Trend Micro PC-cillin, or any Norton™ or McAfee™ product, byproviding one of the following: product CD, product disk (disk 1 only), title page of owner’s manual from a retail purchase, or the email confirmation for a download purchse.

Can I just submit a photocopy of the CD or the manual, or if I can burn a copy of the CD and submit it?

Tried to call their CS number but cannot get a human to talk with.

You need to scan or photocopy the CD itself of either a copy of Norton, MCafee or Trend Micro.

Thought I had everything correct. Sent in the Kaspersky rebate with the UPC but waited to send in the upgrade rebate. I did not make a copy of the UPC. I reread this thread and the upgrade rebate and discovered that the upgrade rebate requires I send a copy of the UPC along with the top box flap. The first time I read step 2 I guess my mind was thinking that they only wanted the top box flap. Ugh.

Is a copy of McAfee CD good for Kaspersky's upgrade rebate?

I ordered and received both of these and submitted all four rebates on Thursday. I just used the front pages of the quick start guides from old antivirus software for the upgrade rebates. But you could photocopy a CD and keep reusing it too. I am surprised Kaspersky is now requiring the entire box flaps, but I guess they are hoping to invalidate more rebates?

About to send out the Kaspersky $55 rebate envelope. It should contain two sheets and one flap. Have anybody weighed to see if it needs more than one regular stamp?
The upgrade rebate, which I haven't done yet, should definitely exceeds the one oz weight.
I plan to include the first page of an 2011 Kaspersky IS quick start guide which is made of thick card. Do you think a photocopy of that will suffice?

I mailed out the regular Kasp & Trend rebates yesterday using just 1 stamp

I've prepared both upgrade rebates for mailing, but waiting a week before I send them out. The upgrade rebates are heavier (used quick start guide as proof) so I'm going to use 2 stamps just to be safe -- USPS website shows 1oz @ 45c, 2oz @ 65c, 3oz @ 85c so 2 stamps is enough to cover up to 3oz (not worth waiting in line at the PO to save a few cents)

Thanks for the reply. Will also use one stamp for the $55 rebate. May be I should buy a small mail scale. Smilie

This is a very good question. I actually went to the post office and had it all weighed out. The Kaspersky Upgrade rebate for me was 1.1oz while the rest were sufficient with just one stamp. Of course, this is subject to change based on how you prove you have old software (I had the first page of an old manual). I think that cutting the part of the flap that inserts back into the box (the long thin strip attached to the flap) would have put me under the weight limit, but I'm not sure if they require that part too. I had three 8.5 x 11 sheets, a box flap, and the front page of a manual in that envelope.

The post office ended up putting 65 cents of postage on there and the usual 45 cent stamps on the other three envelopes, for an even $2 in postage and an overall $48 MM.

Son of a... since you mentioned it... I realize I the same mistake! Mailed it off yesterday. <Head slap>

After they reject the initial submission, do they give us an opportunity to correct the oversight? Or am I dead in the water?
