To anyone who got the new version with the digital display... can you tell me what was included the box?
Mine had the updated manual in it and the charger in a bag. It was not a sealed box.

the only one Item in the Box was the JumpStarter itself. No Charging cables or anything else.

OK same here. I tried to get an updated manual from Peak but they sent the same one from the previous model. It described a few things in the box that the previous one had, so I just wanted to be sure.
Thanks & repped.

Mine came with just the Jump starter (in a bag) and manual. You plug the unit in using a extensions cord. Male 110v prongs flip out the back.

Got this...feels cheap and think I have issues with loose connection with plug.. I first plugged the extension cord into the wall then plugged it into the back of the unit. The percent comes up with 82% blinks then goes out. I left in on for 36 hrs... I push the test and it shows 85%? I then unplugged it from the unit and wall then replugged the extension cord into the back first then plugged it into the wall and it started blinking with the percentage and stayed on blinking...in 10 min it went from 85% to FL? I wondering if it has a defective plug (feels a little loose)? Should this blinking % light stay on when it's charging the battery?

I will have to do some more testing tonight to see if this is indeed a plug issue with the connector in the back. Now I assume I need to recharge the unit for 36 more hours!! This might be going back by tomorrow! Crazy how bad this new version of the Peak 900 is! Quality control seems to be non-existent!

Very confusing issue with this one is that I cannot believe that it can charge from 75% to 100% in 5 Minutes(Happened with me). I have never seen a battery charges that fast. There must be something wrong or we are missing something.

Did yours blink while charging or did the unit blink and then go out?

I am thinking of getting a timer (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Brinks-...r/21909761) for this issue.

After first charge I think this thing needs 24 hours for full charging, so check charge level: say 60%, set timer to (100-60) *24/100 * 1.05= 10 hours and start the charging process. And forget, the timer will shut down the charging process after 10 hours, reducing the risk of over charging but still keeping the battery to nearly a full charge.

Will do. I plan to leave it for 24-36 hours. I had done the same... it went to "FL" (full) within minutes. But then I checked the percent about half an hour later and it was back down to 88-89% (where it had started), and I hadn't used it for anything. So it seems like maybe the 36 hours is key, just ignore the flashing full indicator?...
OK, I left it plugged in and flashing full for 36 hours (never did hear back from tech support). After unplugging, 12 hours later it's gone down from full to 99% (on no usage). Which is better, considering it dropped from full to 88% without any usage in about 30 minutes before. So I guess even if it's flashing full, keep charging for the full initial 36 hours.

I did get it. But i was under the impression that I would get a $10 credit.

Instead a promo code for $35 off $85 showed up;.

Did I misunderstand something?
Sorry you didn't receive the $10. I originally thought the same thing also. I was hoping that I can help people. When I went back to read it, it appears that your e-mail invitation would give you up 40% off, and I would receive the $10. That is if you used the link and spent at least $50. I would have offered you the $10 dollar they claim they give, but when I checked the status, it showed that you've clicked the link but I guess you didn't spend their minimum amount, and you cannot call them if you have a question. They give an address.
So sorry I didn't help you.

So how do you submit on-line if you've picked up 2 different units from 2 different locations? It asks for info based on one receipt.

I had an updated manual, but no bag.

It didn't look like it was ever opened; no tape on the box nor did it look like any tape was removed.
