Shooter reported to be the father of a student; he might have had a confrontation with the principal. Shots were apparently fired in a (kindergarten?) classroom.
This is why I always wrestle with myself when I go to my brother's school as a volunteer. It's illegal as hell to carry a gun when I do (and I haven't), but there's only one resource officer on the premises that would have the ability to stop something like this if it happened.
There is an answer in a question, and there is hope within despair
And there is beauty in a failure, and there are depths beyond compare
There is a role of a lifetime, and there's a song yet to be sung
And there's a dumpster in the driveway of all the plans that came undone
These stories make me sick. Being a parent involves a scary amount of trust in society. Even with the perspective that these are relatively small and rare, it's no less than terrifying.
My heart goes out to the victims, both psychologically and physically affected.
I don't trust society at all!
This ordeal is like a fire tempering a sword. It's making chewy even tougher. If he got leprosy and his arm fell off, he'd beat the shit out of a bear, dip his stump in lemon juice and sew it back on with his good hand.
The idea of a second gunman disturbs me. I can wrap my head around the idea of one crazy person snapping, and then doing something completely unthinkable. But two shooters implies an element of coordination and premeditation of something completely unthinkable. Two people agreed that they wanted to do this. Wow.
