Cheapest way to get a Costco Membership?.

367 14 December 22, 2012 at 03:25 PM
I had a costco membership over 8 years ago and i felt like i threw out my money because i went to buy like 2 times only. But i didnt know about Slickdeals back then where i have read so many times how good the return policy and some other advantages a membership has. Now i want in.

So if someone can help me out on getting a membership the cheapest way i'll appreciate the help.

Thanks

1) Option 1 - Share a membership with a buddy or a relative....you have to pay only half....Costco provides two membership if you ask

2) Option 2 - Apply for a membership along with Costco Amex card and use the card for all the shopping at Costco. If you buy more, the points you earn pays for the membership

Just using costco alone for auto insurance pays for the membership itself each year. I am paying $230 for 6 months for 2 cars.

When I was up in Calgary this summer--I went to Costco with my sister. I had a costco Membership, but she did not! To entice her to sign up, they gave her a $20 Costco gift card. She still had to pay the regular membership fee--but instantly had a $20 gift certificate!! I doubt they do it all the time though

The gift card won't get you membership but it will get you access inside costco and depending upon the value of gift card, you can get the deals

At 1 time anyone could get in......but with no membership, you had to pay an extra % on your bill!
