For all of those who flashed a custom rom, did you activate before you flashed it? I ask because I flashed my device before activating, since at the time I had another prepaid carrier. When I tried to activate my phone with aokp on it on virgin mobile I could not figure out how to change the MDN and the MSID. I had to flash back to stock and then activate it. I'd like to know if I flash back to AOKP will the activation settings stay in the phone. I could not find a place to change the MDN or the MSID in the aokp menus.

You can't get into those menus from the phone itself with a custom ROM because custom ROMs lack the EPST app (which I have read cannot be executed on a custom ROM without HTC Sense anyway). You have to either flash back to stock ROM or use a computer program like QPST and enter diagnostic mode by entering a command in the terminal (I forgot what the command is, but you should be able to find it via Google).

I already flashed back to a stock RUU (whatever that means) rom. My question is if I flash back to a custom rom from stock will my phone still stay activated?

Me too when I get back from vacation, I hope it's not to late. Have given RS plenty of time and notice to make this right.

I've been having this phone for 8 months now, been on page plus since day 1, great phone but no 3g yet i have my old palm pixi plus it just wont read the ha aaa keys in all the software throw at it. I'm using a sprint mod prl for page plus 52874 for talk, text, anyone with a different prl? I've heard reports that you don't need a donor phone this was on the howard forums.

Anybody know what this part of the wiki is referring to? I'm not sure which program I'm supposed to use to edit the MMS settings.

"MMS settins:
Dial ##3282#
Select edit mode
enter your code (hopefully you have changed it to 000000)
Go to Advanced ==> MMSC Settings

"Name= Production
MMS= http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
Port= clear this field leave it blank
Proxy = clear this field leave it blank"

I don't really plan on using it, but I'm curious where on the phone you would make those changes. I know you didn't get it to work, but do you know where (in theory) you would make those changes (once you enable diagnostic mode, then what)?

EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. I thought we were going into diagnostic mode to make those changes. In reality you are entering a different management system on the phone.

I have had mine and activated with virgin mobile for a few months. I want to flash to pageplus and just have it rooted. I have the newest firmware version, I read this will cause problems, can someone give me a heads up if it is worth trying, can i go back to stock if i do a back up?

Anybody know what would happen if we already have our phone rooted and flashed over to PagePlus but then install the system update that we are constantly reminded to install? Would we lose all of our hard work?

I have discovered that my previously installed free demo version of cdma workshop( never actually used it) has expired . Buying the full version to flash this cheap phone does not make sense as this is one time thing for me ( or at least my first hands-on trial).
