Good toy, my son loved it! Takes a little while for the crane to lift the basic, but it does its job! I also love the connector for the wire, its so easy to unplug and untangle.

I bought one this past Friday for my son who is three. He loves it. I paid $25 for it I think, with the $10 off $50 PayPal coupon. My son loves it. The remote control for cranky the crane is simple enough for him to use. I do admit, it's not the best of qualities, but it works. I used good old Duracell batteries with it, so I didn't have any issues. However, I had to change the battery for the train once already, and we are close to a second time. For $20 I think it's quite a deal. Will it last until next Christmas? Probably not, but that's why I get to buy him more stuff next year Wink
Only once, I see a-lot more in your future! When I go into my sons playroom, I can just hear all the trains running into the walls under the furniture! Never really uses the tracks, just rides them on the carpet or hardwood.

Thanks OP, Gave it a shot. I'm officially done giving TRU my business. I added the item to my cart to ship as well as some other thomas cars since they were B1G1 50% off. Added enough for free shipping and during checkout it said that the cranky had to be picked up but the rest would still ship free. No big deal, it was available nearby. Selected pick up in store and checked out.

It completed my order but had a small note at the end that said cranky wasn't available and was removed from my order. It did, however, place the remainder of the order and charge shipping since I was now under the free shipping amount. What kind of company charges you for an incomplete order and charges you shipping when you have already made an agreement on your purchase total and free shipping?

Picked one up at the local TRU. At checkout the cashier could not believe the price and asked if there were any more, because she wanted one.

Put batteries in it (Duracell), absolutely no problems. I don't really see how other batteries would cause an issue. There is plenty of spring, batteries are held tight. The 4 batteries are held in a cage which comes out of Cranky. Not sure where a wire would be found.

IMHO, quite the deal for $20. Repped.
