Does anyone know how I can print coupons in my VM? Here's the error message I see when I try to install the coupons.com printer software:

Coupon printing is not permitted in a virtual environment.

I have an XP vm in VMWare Workstation 7. I don't want to put the coupon printer on my host machine. I was just wondering if there's any known trick for doing it. I know there's a way to prevent VM detection in general because a while back I used to test malware and that subject came up a few times. Has anyone tried to bypass the coupon printer's detection? I almost don't want this answered because I'm sure that SD guy from China is here taking notes ready to mass print coupons as soon as he finds a way.

Have you tried with VirtualBox instead of VM?

even if you were still able to print from inside a VM there is much more to it then just that.

Yes, its possible. Just follow "Take it One Step Further" tip from this site [unibia.com] ... I didn't need to modify anything else.

if it will allow the coupon printer to be installed then you can print the 1 or 2 coupons allowed, but this wont allow you to print an endless amount of the same coupon. there are other checks in place that prevent that.

Hi thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up installing it in VirtualBox and printing without a problem. I wasn't looking to print duplicates I'm just limited with what I can do on this host. Thanks.
