I never buy these things - 81% off seemed like a good deal to me...
Well I have been able to get these as low as $15.95 and they are Great Lot's of fun for a big person like myself ...The only problem I have had is they only fly for 10-15 Min before you have to recharge them again and sometimes there propellers break when when you crash them again and again...Lol ...I am not a real good pilot with them but they are a blast to play with and I am over 40 age wise...lol It is the best 20 bucks I have spent on a Rc Toy in a long Time and well worth the money....... Just remember too get the free batteries from Staple's those seem to work the best...When there Free...lol
I disagree on this. My 5 year old flies the 107G very well.
Btw, I paid $18.75 when I bought mine on Amazon.
Since I don't know your 5 y/o, I can't judge the wisdom of getting this for other 5 y/o kids. A person has to assess the child to decide if this would be a suitable toy. You child can handle it, but I'll bet there are some that couldn't. Maybe I could lower my guess to 8 y/o?
Agreed this price is normal or a bit higher than normal -
But it is the best $20 you'll spend on a rc toy - lots of fun
it is designed to use indoors -
My 8 year old was able to fly well (indoors)
His 5 year old cousin however -had to fly it outdoors (parents wouldn't let him use it indoors) and just sent it zooming straight up until out of range (pretty high) - and it would fall down - eventually broke, but he had fun for about a half day sending it to the moon.
Maybe there is some kind of timewarp between kids in PNW at east coast, delaying skill set for 2-3 years?
My 5 year old got the 107G for Christmas and is actually doing quite well with it (I was worried). The 8 year old can fly it as well but he got the S620G which is a bit harder to handle (still within the 8 year olds capability but frustrating for the 5 year old). HTH.
My 107G didn't work out of the box. So bummed. Charges, lights up, rotors never move. I read the Engrish instructions many times, google searched what it means about setting the controller and the helicopter to the same channel, when there is no channel selector on the helicopter.
