Deal Details

For all you tennis players out there, here's a pretty smoking deal on some of the best tennis-specific shoes I've tried - Asics Gel Resolution 4's. They're on sale at Amazon for $60.32 shipped (black version) or $62.98 shipped (white ). There's also a special promo going on for signing up for Amazon's Shoe email subscription (first time subscriptions only), where you can get another 20% off of one order of qualified shoes, when they email you the one-time promo code. So, you can get these shoes for about $48 or $50 delivered! The cheapest available right now is $79.99 elsewhere like Tennis Warehouse, etc. The shoes are very comfortable, stable and come with a 6-month guarantee. As of now, there seem to be plenty of sizes available. Here's the link:

The link to the email subscription promo:

Some of the smaller sizes in the BLACK are OOS fulfilled by Amazon, but anything size 8.5 and up seem to still be in stock.

$50.38 shipped, not bad! Hate buying shoes without trying but I loved ASICS running shoes and they are a quality company so why not.

If I didn't already have my Barricade 6 I would definitely get these at this price.

I guess depends on how much you play. For me it's a tough call between Barricades and these being my favorite. I'd have to give the Barricades (at least the older ones) the edge in terms of durability. The Asics might be more comfortable though. I always like having spares on hand, especially when they're on sale and sizes are available. I kind of stock up while I can, even though it means 1) I can't make use of the 6 month guarantee as often, and 2) I'm not wearing the latest and greatest, but usually models that are a year or two old. Even though I'd consider myself a serious tennis player, I just can't justify paying retail on shoes ($125???). Yikes!

I like getting one pair at a time, because I do make use of the 6 month warranty.

I got the 20% off email instantly after I subscribed.

I just picked up a black pair, and started to wonder if I should have chosen the white. Has anyone felt that wearing black shoes causes their feet to heat up more? I've read this article (http://www.americaspodiatrist.com...your-feet/), but I was wondering if anyone had personal experiences with this.
