Supreme irony from those who are unwilling to sacrifice anything to help prevent mass shootings.
The supreme irony is that some actually believes banning certain types of weapons will prevent any crimes, let alone mass murder (including mass shootings). Then again, in the worlds of Hilary, "What difference does it make?"
Want something sacrificed? First you better be able to prove it actually makes a difference. Then you better make sure it isn't sacrificing individuals or their liberties and natural rights, because those are not negotiable.
Fortunately the SCOTUS decides the meaning of "infringed" and not you.
None of the Constitutional rights are absolute, and can be denied for sufficient reason.
That's one reason full-auto weapons are defacto banned, and it's Constitutional.
The word "infringed" had a meaning when it was written. No entity gets to decide it means something else.
They are absolute, in so far as they don't infringe on another person's rights. And you'll be shocked to find there are a good deal more rights that weren't written down which are also absolute, as long as they don't infringe on another's rights.
Full auto weapons actually aren't banned. And I don't consider the ban on new full auto weapons in the hands of civilians constitutional. The fact that the military and police have access to them alone is enough proof that anyone has a right to them as well.
