I'm pleading with people.

PLEASE don't buy them just to sell. Some of us actually want this phone.

There are supposed to be plenty of them by mid February, so you might even regret trying to resell them.
In for 100!

I'm sorry..but this thread gives me the giggles. It's JUST a phone! There will be more even if they sell out in 2 hours.
The need to have the NEXT BIG THING *IMMEDIATELY* mystifies me sometimes.
I had the Samsung Nexus and loved it. So don't get me wrong, ain't knocking the Nexus.
But this reminds me a bit of the commercials Samsung did about the people standing in line to buy the next Iphone.
Good luck in your pursuits!
Well it's not just an "immediately" thing...people have been waiting since like last November to get an order in. Google highly underestimated demand for the phone (as usual), and they've been going back/fourth blaming LG/blaming Google on the supply constraints.

Normally I would agree with you, and the Nexus 4 is the first Nexus phone I've gotten, but it was well worth it every single penny. It's not just a next big thing...it's a huge value for what you're getting.

The type of hardware, and the fact you're buying it unlocked, free from carrier branding, and un-subsidized, is a fantastic value. Even if you hated Android, you can look at the value of just the type of hardware you're getting and go "wow". You could buy two Nexus' before getting one unlocked iPhone 5...that's how great a value it is.

Sorry for the stupid question, but are these GSM or CDMA units? I am on ATT and want to get one. Also I see they are already out of stock and the OP mentioned they will start selling them on 1/29/2013 at 9 AM.

Google is motorola
1. Actually Motorola is Google's company and not the other way round.
2. If Google jumps in bed with Motorola, other partners like Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony etc will be alienated. Android became successful because of numerous partners Google had supporting it and Google benefited from the sales and service network of these partners. Google would not kill off these partnerships... not in near future. Microsoft is not making PC for the same reason.

So expect 2 lines of phones from Google:
a. nexus with objective to strengthen the partners and give them guidance in how best use the technology offered by latest version of Android. The objective is not to sell high number of phones.
b. phone x to boost revenue of Motorola (in turn helping Google bottom-line) & be prepared for eventuality that 5 years from from the date they acquired Motorola they would be legally able to be more assertive in licensing Android Marketplace. China adds conditions to approval of Google bid to buy Motorola Mobility [jonesday.com]

Early adopter of this phone. Just wanted to say that I do like it but don't love it. Good phone at a great price. It gets really hot when watching movies or playing games. Better than wife's iPhone but not as good as Samsung Galaxy s3

My friend works for Motorola Mobility and he keeps telling me how he's not allowed to say he works for Google. LMAO

Yeah it's a kernel issue. LG/Qualcomm kind of farked up a bit on that. If you're rooted though and want to try something to alleviate that franco's kernel applies a fix from Qualcomm does a great job of doing so. It's the only thing I've modified on my Nexus 4, otherwise I've kept it stock.

Waiting for an update from Google to fix some bugs that need to be ironed out, like that.

GSM/UMTS, so yes, it will work on AT&T.

It's listed as out of stock because Google started selling these phones on November 13, and it sold out faster than a Woot Bag of Crap. There has only been one restock since then, and that one didn't last long, either, so it's basically been OOS the entire time. Jan 29 is the rumored date for the next restock.

Yep...hate to admit it, but I'm pretty butthurt about missing out on these Nexus 4 frenzy. Based on the demand I've seen, I'd guess you guys made a nice turnaround on these at least.

And knowing my luck, ebay would probably become flooded with these once I start buying them up LMAO
