The winners of the first leg trying to get out of their agreement is just plain classless and lame. Getting attention from others to kiss their ass is fine as long as they abide to their agreement which they didn't have to agree to but they did. I'm sure they will make enemies with the rest of the secret tribe if they don't follow through.
The asian girls are too busy with themselves to pay attention to the race, the blondes at the end are too busy bitching and the 2nd to the last team (the couple) the guy is too busy talking crap to be able to run the race. Just race will ya and stop talking shit about the blondes.
The father son team works for me, too bad the dad is hurt. The roller moms seem ok, the hockey brothers are too. Who else is left? ah nevermind, if I don't remember them, they might not last.
Iagree with most of what you said.

i think alabama is on the show for comic relief, but they still bother me for some reason. probably because it's a one-sided team and i hate those.

you're right - docs were annoying when they wasted time hemming and hawing about the water challenge. up till then i did not find them annoying. i like roller derby moms, hockey bros, father/son as well.

i didn't actually think express pass winners were trying to get out of their commitment. they were just trying to make sure no one heard about the arrangement. they probably went about it the wrong way.

anyway, can't wait till next week! and this is after i had already decided i didn't want to watch the show anymore (after last season's upsetting win... laugh out loud).

No not the self occupied asian girl but in a previous season some bimbo lost her passport at a gas station. She may have been a Vegas Stripper or something. The asian girls are pretty annoying to me. They can't stop bitching that others are beating them at some challenge and they talk smack like I can believe that girl beat me. Well she just did b/c she wasn't whining about her parents and trying to be derogatory against you.

as an asian-american i have to say - some of the stuff they've been saying has been Rofl2 hilarious bc we know it to be true. i hated them in the beginning, but i think their descriptions of life as overachievers have been their saving grace.

that said, i like the shorter one better. the taller one is just annoying, and probably thinks a little too highly of herself. i don't actually see them getting very far either.

plus - c'mon, this show has been awesome with stereotypes, as the two asian women could not figure out their map and got lost (typical asian women drivers... and i can say that because i am one myself Stick Out Tongue), and the african-american men lost bc they couldn't swim.

I was wondering why so many teams didn't think of that before they decided. What morons!

Lots of women driver moments in this episode as well. Loved it.

I think the father son team should have gone fishing and saved the express pass.

it was hilarious to watch katie yelling at max over his poor driving during the detour

also, they had no way of knowing how long it would take the other teams to do the driving detour, or what the roadblock would be. given the dad's limited mobility i think they made a good call. at least they got to win a leg (sort of).

Iagree at first i thought it was dumb to use the express pass so soon, but then i realized the same thing - that they were at least able to win a trip. they know there's virtually no chance they can win the race anyway so winning a trip was at least something to come home with... too bad it wasn't cash or a car or something (tho those usually happen later on in the game).

Not just women unless you consider that idiot John one. He's pretty much the biggest fool I've seen on this show. How do you try to trick your opponents with, John: "are you guys on the earlier flight?" Hockey bros: "you mean the flight right now" John: pretending that he might be on an earlier flight. How do you have a flight earlier than the one that's currently boarding that would get you anywhere earlier? Your attempt at mind games just showed you have no brains. He's slimy dirt bag and I hope he end up getting cut soon.

That Max guy is a total loud mouth guido ass who thinks he's all that without being able to back up what he says. Total nerd.
That italian and german mix doesn't work when they got lost. WTF I told you to turn around? You said you have a bad feeling but KEEP GOING is what she said. OMG I would last 5 seconds in that car.

I wish the father son did the fishing and took the express on a difficult leg but who's to say that they would last until then. I do like and hope they keep going.
