I've been checking this site occasionally to see what new credit card offers show up.

https://www.creditcards.com/cardmatch

Today I received an offer for, applied, and was approved for what is the best yet (non-targeted)
Quote :
Blue Cash Everyday offer:

$150 bonus cashback with $500 spend in 3 months
15 months of 0% purchase apr, then 12.99%

This card has no annual fee and 3% cashback on groceries (first $6000 annually - meaning a maximum of $180).
I also received the following
Quote :
Blue Cash Preferred offer:

$250 bonus cashback with $1000 spend in 3 months
15 months of 0% purchase apr

This card has a $75 annual fee (probably not waived first year), and 6% cashback on groceries (first $6000 annually - meaning a maximum of $360).
You can redeem reward dollars for statement credits in increments of $25 whenever your total available reward dollar balance is $25 or more.

Worth checking if you're interested in these offers:
https://www.creditcards.com/cardmatch
DO NOT enter SSN, just name and address.

You may need to click on the offer link multiple times, I keep getting "Amex cannot find the page you're looking for" or similar messages.

If Creditcards.com doesn't match you with the specific offers (possibly because you have one or more existing AmEx cards, even though they are not these particular cards), you can try the following trick:

1) You'll need to find someone and get their permission to do this trick, preferably someone with few or no existing American Express card accounts.
2) Fill in the form with that someone's information and complete the registration process at https://www.creditcards.com/cardmatch. Do this in the incognito/private mode browser. (You could also try using a different browser or clearing your cookies.)
3) After completing the registration, the results should be posted on a Card Matches page. Scroll down the list of general credit card choices. Click the Apply Now link to select the card that you want.
4) You'll be linked to the specific card offer. However, the offer will be pre-filled in with the name of the person that you registered under Creditcards.com and you can't change the name. (Not yet, anyway Wink)
Now comes the trick.
5) Wait. DO NOT CLOSE THE BROWSER! The link only works from the browser that the creditcards.com search was run from due to cookies. If you try to access it from anything else, you will get an error.
6) After a period of time (20 minutes to several hours), the specific card offer page will go blank with a "SESSION EXPIRE" message. Depending on which web browser you used, either:
a. In the same browser, click on the 'Apply Now' button again from the Card Matches page. The specific card offer application form should be blank and you can now proceed to fill it all in with your info; or
b. From the "SESSION EXPIRE" page, hit the back button to return back to the specific card offer page (hit the refresh button, if prompted). Note: You may need to hit the back button more than once to return to the specific card offer page. The application form should now be blank and you can fill it in with your personal information.
c. If the form isn't blank, then keep on waiting (without refreshing your original browser) and try steps 6a or 6b again. Waiting times vary.
Note: This trick only works if that "someone" you get permission from is eligible for the offer. It's like taking advantage of someone else's targeted offer. And as always, YMMV.

Thanks to Phonic for this tip. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=64976344&postcount=527

AMEX has a 3x Credit Limit Increase (CLI) policy (up to 25k total exposure with a soft pull only) after the 61 day of approval. If denied you must wait 90 days for another try. Try to put decent usage and a couple big payments to get the CLI. Go to myfico forums or creditboards for more info. I tripled my initial limit without a hard pull.

If anyone isn't sure about which card better meets their spending habits, here's a spreadsheet where you can plugin your annual spend for different categories and you can see which card will give you the biggest benefit (Blue Cash Everyday/Blue Cash Preferred/Costco TrueEarnings/Sallie Mae Rewards).

Input spending in the bottom fields, you'll see the middle fields change to reflect the cash back in each category, and the yellow fields will show you your total cash back taking into account the annual fee on the Blue Cash Preferred. The calculations include annual spending caps (e.g. 6% on $6k groceries, then 1%).

What is the number you called? is it a separate department or just called the customer service number on the back of your card?
Thanks.
Stevi10
It wasnt the normal customer service number. Not sure what department they were since they called me after my first application was sent for review. Maybe if you call the regular customer service number and then have it escalated by saying 'what...? I swore it was that etc.' they can look into it. Good luck!

I just got an offer in the mail yesterday for $250 cashback with the Blue Cash Everyday Card after $1000 spent in 3 months. Just signed up and got approved. Huge YMMV, but worth checking the mail.

This was for the no annual fee card, btw.
I also received it. Can I use it to my current account since I just opened it on Feburary?

I called and the representative said they cannot change the original offer. Can they match the difference?

may I ask a naive question: can I open both versions of card - Everyday and Preferred? (and get both sign-up bonuses).

I'd like to keep Everyday open forever as no annual fee is there. (And would think on keeping Preferred oped based on how good I can utilize it)

I think it is accepted at most dental offices. There is no law that says they have to accept it though. Check with your dentist.

I've found out since getting one of these a LOT of places don't take AmEx because they charge twice the fees that others charge. If I'd known how many places don't take these I probably wouldn't have got one.

The veterinarian I went to didn't take AmEx.

i just did this, got approval on the bce for $11k limit. the $150 is issued via statement credit, correct? does it trigger after $500 or 3 months? like if i spend $150 in 1 month do i get it then, or have to wait another 2?

61 days from the day your approval email comes you can call the number on the back of your card and request a credit limit increase for 3x your original amount (Automated system) or do it online. In your case, 6000 (Don't request higher than that, it will auto reject) If they cant offer you a full 3x they will counter offer with their best offer.

This does NOT result in a hard credit pull, it is a soft. You can do it every 6 months after accepting, or 60 days after rejecting the counter offer. Don't request >25k/card unless you want to increase financial review odds.

Amex is very generous with their CLI's when you do this, I have always gotten a full 3x on each card I did this on.
i just signed up and got $11k cl. are you saying i could request up to $33k or should i check myself at around $25k?

I have cash preferred and easily saved thousands already in few years. 6% in grocery is freaking awesome.

You get it after you have charged $500 on your Blue Card and you have paid at least the minimum payments.
