I've got someone else's iphone contacts!

Has anyone had anything like this? I did a quick google search and didn't come up with anything like it.

I just noticed that all my contacts have been replaced with names written in Cyrillic, with what appears to be real numbers. (see pics)...

Nothing else OBVIOUS is different, but certainly is a bit disconcerting.

I'm going to wipe the phone, but just wondering.....

Thanks -- password has already been changed. I'm checking for any other info that might have been altered.

I wonder if the language somehow got changed and those are just your own contacts but in a different language. If not, then that is strange that you have someone else's contacts... lol

Wow that kinda happened to me when my iCloud account logged in and active on my old iPhone that my mom uses now and she started adding in her contacts. So basically whatever contacts she add on her iPhone was synced and added to to the cloud account and show up on whatever devices that uses the same iCloud account.

So might mean that your iCloud account has been logged on another device? Did you sell/lose an iDevice and didn't remove the iCloud account?

Well, I did sell an old 3GS about 4 months ago, but cleared it out and removed it from everything I could think of, including iCloud. But that sounds like a likely culprit.

Did you ever have Find my iPhone set up on that 3GS? If you did, you might still be able to find that device and remotely remove it. At least I assume you can from what I read on this Apple link [apple.com] that talks about erasing it from your device and unlink it from your account.

Did you do a factory reset or just try to manually clear it off by 'removing everything'

Factory reset.

Also , I factory reset my current phone, and it keeps my contacts until I sync with iCloud. So looks like that iCloud account is hosed.

Yeah it looks like someone hacked your iCloud account.

EDIT: Looks like from the Ukraine. +380 is the country code for the Ukraine.
