DEAD/OOS

Was walking though Target yesterday and noticed the Westinghouse 50" LED 1080p 60Hz TV [target.com] was on limited clearance for $299.99 (reg $599.99 previous sales for $499.99)

Talked to the guy at the tech department and while there were none out front he said there were a few in the back and the deal was live (Sawmill Rd/Dublin OH location)

Might be worth checking out to see if other stores had the same offer

Got the last one from Knightdale, NC. It was priced at $349.99 but after talking to the manager I got them to price match it to $299.99 with the Target in Garner, NC that was sold out.

G-town! I got mine from the Target at White Oak.

Go Trojans!

All the tv's around here are 399. I brought the receipt with me and asked if they would price match and they said that they will not price match from another Target because they are in a "different market". I had two managers tell me this and Target headquarters when I inquired about their price match policy.

Is it just me that it seems quite stupid to honor other company pricing but not another one of your own stores??

Do I just have to get really lucky and find a super helpful employee?

Yes you have to find the right person. They're 399 here and I went to 2 different Targets armed with the wiki receipt and a printout of all the locations confirmed 299. I got shot down at both. It is pretty ludicrous, the "different market" point they try and make. Course I don't help things by being unshaven and looking more like a typical Walmart customer- minus the sweatpants.

This one old lady at customer service kind of confirmed a previous post someone made. That corporate determines what markets get what prices- not sure if that means a computer does that or actual people looking at data. Does not matter. I will try at stores #3 and 4 tomorrow. And this time I will SHAVE and bring my A GAME people!!!! BE RELENTLESS. NEVER GIVE UP

If anyone is in NYC, i went to this store:

Riverdale
40 W 225th St, Bronx, NY 10463
(718) 733-7199

NO LUCK! Don't waste your time. Has anyone in NYC been successful at the Harlem store:

Harlem
517 E 117th Street, New York, NY 10035
(212) 835-0860

I want to go and check today. Great TV for Mom! would love to get one.

Play it smart. Don't PM! Buy first with a CC and come back ask if you can return and pay with a different CC (at the Target store with the lower price, obviously).

The chance you'll be successful with a PM is less than 1%. Waste of time and gas IMHO.

For my tactic, do it at night when the cashier is ready to go home!

Did anybody find any settings that were posted for the TV yet? This at least gives you something to start with on the TV settings.

Picked up the last one at my local Target on Monday for $299 wife had a gift card which basically paid for the extended warranty. I finally got around to hooking it up in our patio. Nice TV for the price, no issues so far. Thanks OP.

so, has anyone had any experiences with targets extended warranty. I bought it as well, but after reading some of the reviews...it looks kind of shady? do i really need to keep the box like some people are saying? do i have to take the dang thing off the wall, or will someone come and look at it?

anyone have any experiences with this program?

will they just give me back the $299, or will they give me a replacement tv, if no replacements exist. Kind of sucks to 'just' get the $299 back. I cant buy another TV for that price.

I have to agree about the picture quality. It’s not a show case TV by any means and it doesn't give a lot of options to improve the picture in the menu. I find that it gives off a slight purple/blue-ish hue no matter how you try to adjust it. But for $300 I’m not complaining.
