My local (Houston) Target had all sorts of electric heaters piled up on shelves at 70% off.

While all Clearance is YMMV, as you can see from the attached pictures, they had quite a lot of stock left.

There were several makes and models, ranging from small under-the-desk fans with a heating coil to the oil filled "radiator" types.

I've included the "radiator", DCPI 085-19-102 type in the attached photos, originally $50, it's marked down to $15. I almost bought one, and I have no need for a heater at all (It's February and I'm still having to keep the AC on. Crazy...)

I find it funny that you need space heaters in Houston. Can anbody replicate this deal in Hawaii? What happened to global warming? LOL

Hell, even here in Upstate NY, so far this and the last two winters have been reasonably decent ... nowhere near as cold or snowfall as in years past.

Thanks for the "heads up" OP!! Might look into this.
Having lived up north and in Texas for 30 years. 40 degrees in Texas feels like 20 degrees up north. Humidity is a b**ch!

You may wish to check your insurance policy about portable Space/electric heaters.
Do you know of an exclusion involving space heaters? If so, does it only apply if it plugged in with an extension cord? Being a liability adjuster for 20+ years, I can't begin to tell you the number of fires I've read about because some dumb-ass plugged a refrigerator or air conditioner into a light or medium-duty extension cord. Heaters, drawing 1500 watts would be the same deal; especially if you are using a long extension cord. Remember SD'ers, when it comes to extension cords, size matters! The longer the cord, the smaller the load you can put through it.

LOL ... I guess you're right. When it gets to about 50 here in the Spring we start wearing shorts. When it hits 50 in the Fall we dress like it's below zero.

I haven't seen any heaters or humidifiers on clearance in any Philly/NJ area stores.

$14.98 is a good deal on that Holmes oil-filled radiator. Tuck it away for next winter.

I assume clearance on heaters starts much earlier in the warmer areas.

If anyone sees the Vornado Vortex space heaters on sale, pick one up. They're totally worth it.

My Target just marked them at 30% in WV.

Thanks for saving me the trip. I was just about to drive over to that exact store today.

I was kind of expecting space heaters to go on sale, so I stopped by Walmart Saturday and they had only one heater left (reduced to $37 from $47).

Then I came home and saw this thread and headed to Target today.

My Target had only two models left:

Picked up the Holmes radiator style heater for $15
http://www.target.com/p/holmes-ho...oil+heater

and the Lasko pedestal for $17 (orig $54.99 on Target.com)

I can confirm heaters are at 70% level across the Target stores. I snagged 2 Honeywell EnergySmart Electric Radiators for $21 each this past weekend. I noticed 4 Target stores had heaters at 70% level.

If you get around to trying them soon, it'd be interesting to know which one you like better. I usually like the radiator style because they're silent.
