Electric Heaters - 70% Off Target CLEARANCE - Very YMMV

Thread Details

My local (Houston) Target had all sorts of electric heaters piled up on shelves at 70% off.

While all Clearance is YMMV, as you can see from the attached pictures, they had quite a lot of stock left.

There were several makes and models, ranging from small under-the-desk fans with a heating coil to the oil filled "radiator" types.

I've included the "radiator", DCPI 085-19-102 type in the attached photos, originally $50, it's marked down to $15. I almost bought one, and I have no need for a heater at all (It's February and I'm still having to keep the AC on. Crazy...)

Don't know if I believe this when the midwest is getting pounded still and places like Indiana have the 70% going.

(Plus I just want to be on the ball, as the Target I checked Monday had employees stocking spring stuff by the pallet load.)

Could well be right - I'm finding it hard to believe they're marked that low in Indiana - but they ARE getting more rain, while we're getting the snow.

I'll keep watching, for sure - more for the humidifiers than the heaters - they're starting the markdown run, too. 30% off on humidifiers AND heaters - in NE Iowa, where the snow from the latest storm is now at 10" and still snowing. OMG

Cool. Hey, on the humidifiers, do they send them to the clearance section or do they leave then in their original section the way they run the heater clearance?

fwiw, at MY Targets - 4 in NE Iowa, they leave them where they start, just like heaters. Eventually they consolidate to one aisle, eventually the last 2 or 3 seem to end up on an end cap.

But at least, they START clearancing them IN place.

Got a Lasko heater w remote from Woodland, CA. Love it so far. Thanks OP!
DCPI 085-19-0208 $16 now from $55
Surprised it was as high as $16... they should give these away free in California with the cost of electricity here

Happened to be back in the same Target last night... not a single one left.

So, definitely YMMV :p

Once the heaters are at the 70% level, they're left on the shelves for only a few days. After that, whatever unsold will be packed into boxes and wheeled to the back and shipped back to the central distribution center for next year stock I guess. Target needs room for fans and A/C units.

So, I'll ask again. Anyone familiar with the schedule Targets use to do their clearances? Such as Mon- Electronics, Tues-Food stuffs, Wed-Clothes, Thurs-Housewares.....etc. Knowing this would help those of us in states where the clearances have not occurred yet.

Well, this is a huge discount. Thank you for giving all of us the heads up. Now here's to hoping I can hit a Target when the discount occurs in my area.

Missing out on this is not something I want to do since I missed out on the 12-gallon Husky air compressor with 3 tools for $39 at Home Depot. (Looks like inventory was done early this week at all stores in my area and they threw them out due to the $0.01 toss em policy)

Only 30% discount at one store in Massachusetts and no discount at all yet at another store. No discount yet in NH either.

Heaters went from no discount to 50% off today in Farmingdale, NY. I grabbed a Honeywell heater with a digital thermostat for just under $20.

Still 30% Massachusetts as of 1 pm Friday. Seriously considering putting in a complaint to a store manager. It's been two weeks running at 70% off in over 70% of the country.
