Go to the Amazon shoe department: http://www.amazon.com/shoes-men-women-kids-baby/b/ref=sa_menu_shoe?ie=UTF8&node=672123011

Underneath the main ad at the top center of the page is a long, thin horizontal bar. Inside that bar is an ad for 20% off your next shoe or handbag purchase when you sign up for their Amazon Shoes email advertisements.

Several varieties of Clarks Desert Boots are on sale right now including the popular Beeswax ones. Prices vary along with color/size, but many of them are on sale for $79.54 or an amount close to that.

$79.54 minus 20% (15.91) leaves a final price of $63.63.

BTW you'll probably want to order them a half-size smaller than your true size, these are known to run large.

Target has their brand on clearance for $20 in store (darker grey almost bluish). Still, can't beat Clarks for the original though.
Thanks for the tip. I've seen those but the original price was too much.. might need to give them another look nod

You should check out 10 minute email or mailinator and set up a new Amazon account if you are keen on getting these. A little work that gets you a decent amount off.

i would but i have prime and also wanted to use my discover cashback.

The ones you see at DSW, Nordstrom Rack, etc are the Bushacres, which are essentially Desert Boots with a rubber sole. Desert Boots are defined by a crepe sole.

It's based on individual preference. The crepe sole is more comfortable but wears out faster than a rubber sole.
Funny that by definition a crepe sole is a type of rubber sole.

Crepe Sole
A kind of sole typically cast from rubber and made to resemble the texture of wrinkled crepe paper. These soles are almost exclusively seen on casual shoes and older style boots.

Don't know if this has been said, but the ones generally available at Nord Rack and other "outlet stores" have the cheaper, non-crepe sole.
The Nordstrom Rack near where I live carries the crepe sole Beeswax all the time.

You shouldn't have had to do that... it's 20% off your next order.

I laughed when I saw the boot...I'm with you. When I hear desert boot, I only think of one style...just one.
Well, if it's the original desert boot, then you're thinking of these.

haha, as soon as i saw the old guys earlier saying their are "fugly" and "sissy" boots, all i thought about was male fashion advice and their love for these shoes.

anything anyone says on slickdeals about clothes I take with a grain of salt, because there are people who still get excited about sales on Lee jeans.
Yea, same here, but the criticism isn't just coming from old guys. I remember when desert boots were popular decades ago and these same "old guys" probably didn't like them then, either. I don't much care for pointy cowboy boots -- or warlock boots, as I like to call them --, either, so we're all good.

I'm one of the old farts who wore these decades ago. It was either these or Converse high tops. Depended what crowd you were with, what you wore.

Anyways, not really a bad deal. Calculating backwards this price would have made them about $12 in the early 70's and I can assure you they were more than that back then. Still on the fence whether to get a pair though.

I had picked up the dark brown one from Target, it is the Merona brand it is on clearance for $28 and the other colors I think is $20. I think I might just end up returning it since it looks like it will not last for more than one season. Quality is at the low end. It also does not feel like it would be comfortable after a long walk. But for the price I guess it would work for some people.

gotcha- awesome. thanks!
I wear 11.5 and that size works for me (wore them for the first time today). The width however feels good/snug. I've never worn a width of B but with white sport socks on I am inclined to think it might be a little snug (mine are regular). Ah well...

Good deal. I picked up the beeswax a month ago and used the 20% off and it was $5 more than this deal. I own 4 pairs of Clarks (unstructured un.kenneth x2, suede wallabees, and beeswax desert boots). They all run a full size larger than what i traditionally wear. In Nike free run+2 (as an example) i wear an 11.5. All my Clarks i wear a 10.5. YMMV.
