I just saw on Southwest Airline's site that the 50K Chase Premier credit card offer is back. There is a $99 annual fee that is not waived, but the 50K points are worth about $833 and they're good towards the very valuable companion pass (110K points needed in a year).

You should be able to get this card if you had the Plus card ($69 annual fee) before as they're considered different products.

I'm sure this was answered at some point. I currently do not own a Southwest Card, I can apply for the RR Premier Card AND RR Plus Business card, spend 2K on each and get the 50K points on each and once the points hit my acct, I can cancel the cards and save the 100K points? Also, do they charge the annual fee up front or at the end of the first year?

Damn...I let my 1 year lapse...got hit with the $99 yearly fee.

Poorly played on my part...
There is a 30-day grace period, and as long as you haven't used the card, they may go back even further. Call them to cancel in this case. You may get it waived. On the other hand, the renewal fee did come with free points as well, so it's not a total loss.

If me and my wife cancelled our cards in Jan of this year and we both got 50k points last year can we open new cards with Chase and get another 50k points each?

Asked and answered many times over...

Yes to both cards
Yes to cancel once you have points (but bad idea until you have 110K)
Yes to annual fee first time, and no they will not waive

**Never open and close a CC account immediately. Open account length is part of your score. Keep it for 11-12 months, then cancel it.

The $69 card has the same deal as well.

People... The points are a rewards for opening and using the account. Once the points have posted to SW RR account, the terms for point redemption have been met and the points are yours.

But this is a BAD idea because it impacts your credit score. There is no harm in keeping the account open longer, as the annual fee is 12 months away. Even if it rolls over, there is a grace period. If you are trying to close the cycle between how long before you can start over again, I believe there may be a flag with Chase if you open and close accounts too quickly that will impact future approval.
