If you're not used to low sodium foods don't get this. Unsalted canned albacore tastes like drywall, only blander. Maybe dryer too. I am on a very low sodium diet so I'm stuck with this kind of thing and I have to add a ton of other stuff to make it edible (I actually usually cheat and mix it with some regular tuna. Still within my limits but a little more edible). Anyway, don't pay over $2/can for this tuna unless you need it. You'll be disappointed.

Oooh boy, not to be a thread crapper but I just looked up the nutritional info. This has 100mg/sodium per 2 oz serving. Not very low sodium for a no salt added product. Regular tuna only has 180mg, maybe this stuff does have some flavor after all, lol. Starkist very low sodium albacore has 35mg/2 oz serving and is cheaper, get that if you need low sodium.

You can get 8 cans of albacore tuna at Costco... so, this one doesn't seem so big to me... but I like to see more whole food type stuff on here. Smilie

What brand of tuna? I seriously doubt its even in the same neighborhood of quality as wild planet. Evidently you have never had this brand before.

With the regular salt added you can skip the SS if you have prime, pay $.66 more and get "Receive a FREE sample of Campbell's Go Soup, Chicken and Quinoa, 14 Ounce (discount at check-out). Click on Add Both To Cart to receive your free sample."

for 66 cents more i went with the free soup option. Click on special offers on the Amazon page then click add both to cart

I just picked this up at Costco for $14.99 a few days ago. This is a great price for Wild Planet, the best, imo! Thanks

I don't think there is such a thing as tuna without mercury anymore...

Looks like canned light has less than canned white, though.

Much cheaper but I'm not sure of the quality. I know for a fact Wild Planet is great.

Not really sure what your point is in linking to that...

A version which began circulating in e-mail in March 2010 asserts "Snopes validates the facts below," which is not the case.
Granted, there are plenty of reasons to not buy Starkist. Including paying less than mainland minimum wage, if that was your point. But the snopes article mostly addresses the claim that Pelosi was directly involved in that minimum wage setting decision in regards to American Samoa and says it can't be proven, especially for the reasons claimed, so it's unclear why you linked it?
