I picked up the 8006 and I love it. I am now growing my own wheat grass. This is my little setup
Where did you get that pen that clips to the wall?

I have this juicer and I am very much interested in growing my own wheat grass. Can you please help me out? Where to buy those trays, soil, how much you paid and how to grow. Appreciate your time.

Thanks

The trays are Jiffy brand from Home Depot 11x22 no drain holes for $1.58 each. You can but hard winter wheat berries for about $1.20/lb at a natural health food store. 1lb will cover two trays. You want to use organic soil, no animal compost. They take on average 10 -12 days to grow. You have to water twice a day. Each tray this size will yield 8-12 oz. I learned all of this in the last two weeks buy reading and watching lots of videos. It is really pretty easy to do and a lot cheaper to do yourself. You can read up by Googling "how to grow wheat grass". Sproutpeople.org is a good site as well and they have a lot of YouTube videos

I've got the 8004 and I love it. My only complaint, although very minor, is cleaning up every time we use it. I know the Omegas are great in terms of convenient cleanup, but it does get annoying when you use your juicer everyday.

May I ask how you started your wheatgrass setup? I've always wanted to grow my own, but I always thought it would be too difficult.

How does wheatgrass turn out in something like the Vitamix? I have the Juicetiger and, although the pulp is pretty dry when it's done...it's sad to throw out all that pulp. Rather drink it. Planning on buying a powerful blender to get me smoothies.

Out of curiosity, why is everyone so into making shakes with wheatgrass/growing their own?
