Best deal for New DirecTV Customer

criminal666 11 10 March 13, 2013 at 12:54 PM More Direct TV Deals
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows what my best best is to get a great deal signing up for DirecTV. I am currently a cable subscriber and will be switching over in May, and was wondering how to get the best deal? I know I have seen people trying to get you to sign up for DirectTV at Sams Club, Menards, Best Buy, Etc, but I did not know if they can really get you a better deal then just signing up online? Any feedback would be great!

I have personally found the AAA deal always to be the best as it gives you the best pricing plus I think $200 or $300 off. There are some times better deals if you are buying a new TV or something but w/o that...

I don't actually know if you have to have AAA to get this or not as I do have it. I don't recall being asked for my AAA # but it was awhile ago.

I signed up at Sams Club and I got a discount for being a member. It seemed like the best deal at the time. Lol actually if you sign up I got this refer a friend certificate where I would get $10 off a month and you would get $10 for 10 months.

Costco is giving a $200 gift card. http://www.costco.com/directv.htmlThe current promotion for any new sub is free mlb extra innings and nfl sunday ticket max. Says ends 4/15. Says some of the savings are only available online. I like to sign up online because I can see exactly whats happening instead of bugger some CSR I can barely understand over and over to re-read to me what I'm getting.
The bummer is the new Genie hr44 might not be out before 4/15 and then yer stuck with a little slower dvr.(hr34)

The Costco deal I was quoted was $200 in the form of a Costco gift card, One free Genie and 3 free genie minis. A 4th genie mini was an additional $49.

With the AA deal, do you also get free genie minis? I only saw a free genie on the site and if I need to pay an additional $300-$400 for more genie minis, the Costco deal would be a better deal.

The new Genies boxes won't be wireless will they? That is my biggest beef with Directv. I want a wireless box to move the TV/box around!

If they aren't wireless, how much better will they be than the current ones? Should I wait another 3 weeks? I am not in a huge hurry, although I am worried the promos won't be around and I will have to pay a lot for boxes if I wait for the newer ones.

Thanks,

Dawn
