Both my coworker and I just found out our accounts were accessed. In my case, they purchased gift card (online gift card) and sent it to a (probably) throw-away gmail address.

Anyone else? It's weird that it happened to both of us on the same day.

Happened to me yesterday. Luckily I caught it when they sent the change email message so it was cancelled (200 dollars in e-gift cards).

And for anyone thinking this is phishing, it is not. I would never click on anything like that and also no way they could have guessed my password. Its 11 characters long with numbers and letters. interspersed throughout.

It's unlikely that both our passwords were hacked due to our own fault. So it seems like something server side.

Check your accounts. In my case, they purchased a gift card and sent it to a gmail address.

Hasn't happened to me, my mom, or my boyfriend. We all have passwords that are at least 8 characters in length and include numbers, lowercase letters, and uppercase letters. If yours doesn't, then yes it is your fault that you got hacked.

How did you find out, did walmart notify you? I don't trust walmart.com. Once I was buying something and under shipping address some other guy's address and account info came up and I could access his account. Beyond ridiculous.

..yeah it seriously has been going on this long. I had a talk with corporate and they essentially know about this, but don't give a shit. They essentially told me to talk to my bank/financial institution to remove the fraudulent charges, but they weren't going to do anything about it or pass it on to someone that will. I asked them to close my account. Never did. It still exists. I just removed all my cards, billing info, and changed my password.


This is what happens when you deal with the devil.

Didn't know about this; I assume whomever may have been 'hacked' had a credit / debit card info saved on there already? This is another one of the many reasons why I don't save that info there as 'convenient' as it may be.

Happened to me....I caught the transaction while it was in processing and called Walmart svc, lady told me they would try to stop shipment, I went to bed in SC next morning I checked and Purchase $269 camera was in FL out for delivery..i called fedex and they called the driver and told him not to deliver. Walmart didn't care.. I changed password from a secure computer, cancelled all payment options and asked them to close my acct and run a gamut of virus and malware checkers.. finally found the Zeus virus...I think I wiped it out, but it is a tricky bugger.
