But with 8GB of RAM already onboard, does it really matter if 2nd gen i7 doesn't support DDR3-1600? The RAM seems sufficient to me (even if not DDR3-1600). I am a little curious about the difference between 2nd gen i7 and 3rd gen i5.
As I debate whether or not this is too outdated (and perhaps not a slickdeal at 50% off), I find another deal which was posted only a little over a month ago which has latest gen processor and video and was only $100 more:
