Btw, I've gotta wonder, why are they putting the 3DS XL on sale right when a new limited edition is coming out? You'd think they would take advantage of it and sell at retail for awhile, even if they did plan a sale down the line. I can understand them wanting to move stock and getting more people invested in the system so they'll buy more games. But are they underestimating the potential sales on this 3DS? There are plenty of people that would pay more than retail for the Pikachu edition. I suppose I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Just seemed like strange marketing on Nintendo/retailers part.
Might have to do with the Vita price drop and higher Vita sales.
Right but that generally refers to competitor's ads, right? Provided this TRU ad actually runs, they'd just be giving an adjustment on their own in-store ad..
I posted about this in the other thread, but I was told by an employee at my local TRU that they will do a price adjustment if you pre-order something from TRU.com and pay more than the in-store price. He shared a couple caveats: 1) The item must be unopened when you bring it into the store for the price adjustment. 2) You must bring the item to the store while the sale price is still valid.
I haven't shopped at TRU for years and have never tried a price adjustment there, so this is counts as a 'YMMV' thing. I might end up trying this myself, though.
