Got some BR30 LEDs from staples for 12.50 each a few weeks back. $20 does't seem like a deal.

Not all LED light bulbs are created equal, and Philips makes some of the best. $20 a bulb is 30% off the regular price. Great deal in my opinion!

pretty sure 650 lumens is not the normal output of a 65W incandescent. I would check that out first.

It's closer than you think for a reflector style lamp.

A common A-shape incandescent lamp would put out around 800 lumens.
However, in the R30 shape outputs ranging between 500-700 lumens are more common.

As such, this is brighter than most 65W R30 lamps but not all.

Good luck!

For Philips brand it's a great deal for these bulbs. Most people probably won't notice the initial difference between these and the cheaper Feit/Utilitech brands, but they are dimmable and have a very nice clean light output and are plenty bright.

$20/bulb is too much even for the best bulb on the planet.
