I love the titanium bands. It allows you to wear a larger watch without the heavy weight of those stainless stain bands. Some watches feel like large heavy shackles. But I guess some folks like it that way.

I have the Citizen Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Mens Watch BL5250-02L.
works fine. two criticisms.
1.alarm is barely audible.
2. I have to pull out instructions on how to set the thing. kinda complicated. Certainly doable but not something I am able to remember when it comes to DST etc.
Perpetual Calendar function is great.
price is great.

In for one BM8430-59E. I need a change from my current Invicta 8932 (which I've had for like 5+ years now. It's been a good watch but the face is scratched/chipped and it's time for a new watch).

eco drive just means its solar powered quartz and not automatic right?

mineral=saffire??
Saphire is more scratch resistant than mineral. I own a eco-drive with saphire, and it really is worth the extra.

Lol, me too. For those concerned, I have the Nighthawk with the mineral face, and I bang it on doorways and stuff all the time; still no visible scratches.

I'm sure the sapphire is better though. And yes, you will be unlikely to use the slide rule on the Nighthawk but it looks great. I wish it had a stopwatch though Frown
Actually yours might not have survived all the impacts you describe, had it been sapphire. I have shattered crystals, and can live with the possibility of scratches as an alternative.

2nd the sentiments on the ti 'zilla. I'd have made a grey market jomaxception for one of those!

wow I was going to drop $350 for the nighthawk
$350 for the Nighthawk? Why? It is only $237 on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-BJ7...B00074KYC8

(The Nighthawk, by the way, is a fabulous watch. I totally love mine and would not hesitate to recommend to others.)

So for the Citizen Black Dial Mens Watch BM8240-03E it's $20 more from Amazon and comes with the 5 yr Citizen warranty. Worth it or should I save the money and buy it from Jomashop?

I just got my first Citizens watch and its epic.

I recommend it to everyone. Citizens is known for watches, you wouldnt buy a watch from a shoe company right?

In this case I would spend the $20. With the original Citizen warranty you can go to every authorizised dealer.

What a fantastic find - thanks OP and repped.

I've actually been scouting Citizen dive watches for quite some time now and the $330 price on the BJ2115-07E rocks. It's been $521 at Amazon.com [amazon.com] forever, which in itself is a decent price compared to buying in general retail land.

Again a big thank you, I know there is a tendency to buy crap we see here just because it's a deal but this one really saved me $190 I would have eventually spent

I agree. I have a women's Citizen Eco-Drive watch that I love, but I did have to send it in for service when it stopped working and wouldn't run no matter how long I left it to recharge. The service process was hassle free and at no expense to me.
