Thread Details

This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

Does cvs except competitors prescription coupons? I have a $30 new prescription coupon for Kmart but would prefer to go to Cvs. Anyone know if they still accept them?
Yes they do

That's what I was afraid of. Of course they would send one on an account I no longer use and that gets no other q's.

Do you have a Rite Aid? I believe there is a deal starting next week. Check the thread here at SD for details.

had a new-to-me weirdness at checkout

had 8.99 cat litter , 30% off pet supply CRT and $5 ECB
.74 tx, expected to pay about $2 but when OOP was higher, I saw my 30% was only 1.20

The $5ECB was deducted before my 30%
it was a regular ECB, not BB or MP

clerk said that it was the new norm, & was worse with MQs and x/xx. Register wouldn't allow MQs bringing under $16 with 4/20
Used 4/20 on next transaction, but no particular issues.
One of my MQs was expired so I added an item & ECB. Everything voided & came back on just like it should.

*sigh*
things i do for that cat o' mine

you can do RA online if you want to venture down that particular rabbit hole
You can load some Qs to your (plenti) card,
there's often $10 off $50 that makes up for Qs you can't use
free ship over 34.99

if you have enough points, you can use them to pay for the entire thing
and if there's no RAs in MN, no sales tax

sometimes there are enough deals for you to earn back all the points you spend

Like missusg mentions, on line still might be a good deal for you. The Renu does require coupons but there may be a load 2 card coupon that would offset at least one. To do this though it would require a Plenti (other retailers use Plenti so you may have one) account and a Wellness account so if RA truly is your best deal then you might want to sign up for those as soon as you can.

With the Wags and CVS deals kind lacking for the last I cant even say how long, this might be a good time to mention this. I am pretty darn cheap so I havent done RA on line as I dont have enough in points to make the order completely free but there have been some rocking deals on line. Those of you without RAs may actually want to consider following the weekly threads and dive in if you dont mind an initial cash investment to get rolling (usually around $50 or less). Just wait for a week that is free or better after points back. Then you just roll them on things every time there is a free or better deal to avoid using more cash. But if you are thinking of jumping in, get those Plenti and Wellness accounts so that you can start gathering coupons and will have them when the time comes! Smilie

Anyone having trouble printing coupons from Healthy Essentials? I go to print, and it prints a blank page.

Strange thing happened. You know how those emailed coupons need to be printed by Sunday night or they disappear? I forgot to print mine. Clicked on link last night (Tuesday) and it printed.

Had a very interesting experience today.

Coupons used: $2/2 Colgate from Red Machine, $1.50/1 Softsoap from Red Machine, $2/1 Physician's Formula from Mobile App, and $5 ECB from Mobile App (for downloading mobile app for the first time).

Register rejected all my Red Machine coupons and the $2 Physician's Formula app coupon saying something to the effect of "coupon price exceeds basket value". My subtotal was greater than $5.50. They were able to "override" them, as they were yellow on the screen.

Using the same Red Machine coupons in a different transaction (with a different card) without using any coupons from the Mobile App worked without a problem.

Anyone have a similar experience?

The store told me they had to "scan the app coupons first" for them to work. Whatever that means.

yes. I have this problem all the time. in my experience it does this because of any % discount used. and it ONLY happens when coupons are pre-loaded to the card. I now avoid loading anything to my card if at all possible and it eliminates the issue. this week for physician's formula I'll be buying that by itself to avoid problems with my other coupons.
