Thread Details

This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

I still struggle with predicting the purchase total when using a % off coupon. I understand that GBT, Manual ECB, BC and 1/4ly rewards all change the discount.

My question is, how will the components of a rc act? I have a rc for Crest Whitestrips at their normal scan price but with a $10 EB (which I understand they will print manually after the transaction.) Attached to the rc, I have a now-expired $7 mq and a now-expired CVS $10 crt. Will the manual entry of the rc and the two qs reduce my savings? I suspect it will but I hope someone with more understanding will let me know. Thanks for your time!

Since your RC doesn't require the products to be price-modified, the % Q should apply fine toward them (assuming they are indeed not on sale right now). Additionally, the $7 MQ likely will still scan by itself, so that shouldn't affect your % Q either. The expired CRT, however, will likely reduce your savings because it will have to be manually entered (even if it's entered as a CVS MFR coupon - for some reason that's just how the % Qs seem to treat manually input Qs). HTHs!

Thank you for your prompt reply. As luck would have it, CVS sent me 2 - 20% in the past few days and my store is happy to stack! Since they also will accept expired coupons and crts that are attached to the rc, I was trying to determine if this is the time to redeem the rc. Your answer was very helpful.

Does my 8 off of 40 beauty club CVS coupon have to be used on only beauty items or can my total purchase include non- beauty items?

I think the BIG clue is "$8 off $40 BEAUTY PURCHASE" is highlighted in red!

Not speaking to this specific poster, but to all of you who are new, wonder how far you can push your coupon use, etc, please know that most of us on SD prefer to focus on using a coupon as it is intended.

I searched in the old thread too but didn't find anything: is the $5 off healthcare a CVS Q or a CVS MFR Q?
