My email said my delivery would be 4/12. We will see if this is actually true!
Same here! Was looking to get two Auria 27" displays from MC, but for about $280 more I went with these, figured the extra warranty would be worth it IMHO, with no dead pixels to annoy me either.

Thanks to others for posting the instructions on how to nab that extra discount!

The Dell Gift Card you get from Dell Advantage, you can only use the amount on the Dell website right? Or is it like a rebate card that I can use to purchase anything?

EDIT: Card is only for Dell.

Lol.... at those idiots still claiming these are too pricey.... I told one of them that you can get a 27" Dell for around $525-$550.... Claimed it was still too much and that a $400 Korean POS monitor was a better deal... Well... with the Gift Card promo, this would come out to just $425......

Yes! I bought a cheapy 27" IPS and regret now that it's not working properly just several months after purchase date (dies off randomly). With no warranty to get it fixed for free, all I can do is /facepalm. Never again.

I'm deciding whether to get a 24" 1080p 120hz Acer ($250) or Benq ($390) or 60hz U2713HM ($550). I play quite a bit of Counter-Strike so I'm thinking of 120hz and also use the monitor as back-up if my Crossover shuts off randomly. Or since 27" 1440p IPS is too pretty I can get this Dell and never bother with fail screen.

Is this a good GAMING Monitor?

Can I game "decently" at QHD 2560x1440 resolutions on a single Radeon 7850 2GB card or Is that the realm of Radeon 7950's or SLI'd/Crossfired Mid-range cards?

I know "decently" is kind of controversial as it depends on the individual but anythinging over 29fps is good right?

Nope.

Yeah, thats helpful. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

7850 can drive a 2560x1440 monitor. Expect frames on modern titles in the 40-50 fps range if the settings are dialed back a bit. You can google for specific benchmarks on Tom's or others. Some titles (BF3 comes to mind) will be challenging, just look for some benchmarks before you buy.

Make sure your version of the 7850 has an output that is compatible - at least a DL DVI or DisplayPort output is needed to use the full resolution of this monitor.

just saw this 30 vs 60 fps comparison and found it very interesting...

I have a Dell Dimension 660 (Intel i3), what's a mid-range $100 video card to power this LCD?

Also can I stack EPP and the $75 Dell GC offer?

Cancelled my PA271, for this price I'm gonna bite the bullet and hope it's nearly as good as the 271.
