Thanks for the post, I had a $40 Dell reward lying around, and have been waiting for this to get cheap enough, so I bit.

Can I hook up two of these to my Lenovo T410 laptop with a docking station for a triple monitor setup? (Two 27" plus the laptop display). It has 1 display port, 1 dvi-d, and one VGA.
vga is not good to support >1080p (includes 1200p and 1440p)

Is this a good GAMING Monitor?

Can I game "decently" at QHD 2560x1440 resolutions on a single Radeon 7850 2GB card or Is that the realm of Radeon 7950's or SLI'd/Crossfired Mid-range cards?

I know "decently" is kind of controversial as it depends on the individual but anythinging over 29fps is good right?

Coupon code J7LDVZT3RLS89R worked for me to subtract an additional 10% ($56) making the subtotal $504, which is the cheapest price ever for this monitor. Not sure if it works for everyone but give it a shot! Combined with Dell Advantage (5% eGift card emailed later) and cashback on other sites, this is a really good deal!

Edit: it seems the code only works for Dell EPP or MPP. I just went to dell.com/epp [dell.com] clicked Students, then clicked the double discount banner, went to "shop dell electronics," then clicked monitor deals, added the U2713HM to cart, and applied the coupon code in cart. It worked that way. No entering any member ID required.

If your ThinkPad has Nvidia discrete graphics, yes. If you have the integrated Intel graphics, you can only drive two displays at the same time using the dock.

Yeah, thats helpful. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

7850 can drive a 2560x1440 monitor. Expect frames on modern titles in the 40-50 fps range if the settings are dialed back a bit. You can google for specific benchmarks on Tom's or others. Some titles (BF3 comes to mind) will be challenging, just look for some benchmarks before you buy.

Make sure your version of the 7850 has an output that is compatible - at least a DL DVI or DisplayPort output is needed to use the full resolution of this monitor.

Logged in via the MPP plan.
Clicked on the "Double Your Discount" banner.
Entered in my MPP code.
On the Double your Discount page, found coupon listed in the middle of the page "Get an addition 10% off select dell electronics". J7LDVZT3RLS89R
Then searched for "U2713HM".
Added it to cart.
Then added the coupon.

$504 in cart.

Can't really afford this right now, but hey, thought I'd look to see if you could get it cheaper.

Do I really need to wait 10-20 days to get the 5% eGiftCard? Have you guys received this earlier? I'd like to apply it now somehow.

10-20 days, or sometimes even longer and you have to contact customer service.
