Great deal, I've been reading up on juicers and this seems to be the best bang for your buck.

Here are a few references for anyone that's on the edge (8004 = 8006, just different colors):

http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/...st-juicer/
http://www.youtube.com/user/rawfoods
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl_YH57TxEY (Juicing vs Blending)

For most people it comes down to one of two Omega models in terms of non-centrifugal juicers, the 8006 or the VRT. Neither is clear winner in all categories, it really depends on what you're planning to juice. The 8006 excels with leafy greens, whereas the VRT is easier to feed and tends to juice harder produce and fruits a bit better.
So the vertical one does carrots better? If so, you really need both types. Carrot juice is really important to prevent/cure cancer.

Also, there's some good info about juicing in this thread. That's why I wish threads could be continued, so we could keep all the good info together.
I'm surprised no one there mentioned barley grass or kelp though.

It does carrots well. I think other juicers will more moist fruits like oranges or even cucumbers better

Is this a recurring monthly deal? I noticed other posts for similar sales on the 8006 in February and March. I really should have ordered it this time, but was waiting for Amazon to price match it since I have a bunch of gift certs there, but they never even got in in stock (as in shipped and sold by Amazon.com).

What is the likelihood of there being another sale this month?

Just a report...this juicer is great, but the juice i get from doing greens and tomatoes is very very pulpy..too pulpy to even put through the included sieve because it clogs. Anyone have similar experience?

^ Yes it's on sale often. And it's too bad those old posts can't just be reopened instead of creating a new one each time (with the same questions asked). Some good info in them.

I haven't used one yet but I've watched many youtube videos of this model and it seemed to excel at greens.

Can't wait for it to go back on sale...

Well there went that hope. Looks like May won't get a sale, unless it's on the 29th like last month...

Hope this deal gets reposted when it comes back. Kicking myself for not pulling the trigger one of the many previous times it's come up. Now all my veggies in the garden are coming in and I'd love to juice! Argh!
