Get $50 Dell Promo eGift Card for every $300 in eGift Cards purchased
Promotion is valid trough 5/14 | Promo eGift Cards are valid for 90 days

https://dell.cashstar.com/gift-card/buy/
Received email from Dell subjected as "Save $189 on a touch laptop for Mom"
keep in mind promo egift cards do expire in 90 days and it's tricky to stack/combine and can't be used for mobile phones or accessories.

another landing page link [dell.com]

AFAIK:
you can't combine with the other promo eGift Card, such as %5 back Dell Advantage eGift Cards, but you can combine with the regular dell or dell-cashstar gift cards if you call or chat, but then you will loose the %5 Dell Advantage and any other cashback

This deal EXPIRED on May 14.

Just a note: the gift card doesn't expire, but the promo one does, usually within 3 months. I had that 75$ promo (from buying 400$) expired on me. It's not in the email which contained the GC, you have to log in to see your GC balance and at one corner it will tell you the expiration date

I can't stress enough what the guy above me said about the $50 promo expiring. BE VERY VERY VERY AWARE ABOUT IT EXPIRING. I LOST 2x$50 BECAUSE I WASNT READING THE FINE PRINTS. IF YOU CAN, USE THE PROMOS RIGHT AWAY. I HATE FOR SOMEONE TO NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEIR PROMO BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T AWARE ABOUT IT. SORRY FOR CAPSLOCK, BUT I DO CARE FOR PEOPLE TO SAVE MONEY ESPECIALLY A FELLOW SD'r.

Can you give some some details on it. I am planning to buy the similar laptop. Link to Outlet laptop or anything will be good.Wink
Sorry for not replying earlier, but I just checked back to the thread. There is another one available. You should be able to get to it via the following link http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnli...d=b2e72a40 . The listed price is $659, but there is a 30% off coupon for Dell SB Outlet that expires at 11:59 central time tonight. The code for that is T39J2ZV4QG5$D$.

On phone and chat orders you should be able to use three promo cards on one order if the three promo cards completely cover the purchase. For example, if the order total all in -- including shipping, tax, etc. -- was $149 and there was $150 remaining on the three promo cards, the three promo cards should suffice.

That said, if you read through the threads of past such gift card offers, the number of promo cards allowed has depended on the customer service rep taking the order. Some reps have required that one payment be a credit card and some reps have allowed just one promo card per order.

Anyone know the average success rate of applying a single GC and Promo eGC after placing an order? I ordered last night just before the business 30% code was deactivated but my GCs didnt arrive by then so I just put the order on my CC. They are unfortunately closed on the weekend.

Hopefully I'm not out $300 on a GC (at least to use on this order)?

Can I use this $50 promo gift card for a purchase below $50 on Dell without spending a penny from my credit card?

I had an...interesting...experience trying to buy a computer using these gift cards from Dell's outsourced home/personal sales dept. The first agent I spoke with via chat and later phone told me that I could use up to 3 gift cards on my order so I bought 2 $300 gift cards to get 2 $50 promo cards. The $300 gift cards were consolidated to a $600 card (the promo cards cannot be consolidated).

Then I found out that 3 gift cards and credit card won't work because there is a max of 3 payment methods. So I proceeded to buy another $208 gift card for the remaining balance of the order and consolidated it with the $600 card.

Next, this same agent claimed that I could only use 2 gift cards and a credit card (and stonewalled when I asked why he told me I could use 3 before). I didn't think this was correct, so I talked to another agent who confirmed that 3 gift cards is fine and submitted the order.

Shortly thereafter, I got an email from Dell saying my order was on hold for insufficient funds. I called the credit/gift card service department to find out what the problem was. Apparently the $808 gift card was only being charged for $720, while one of the $50 cards was being charged for $138. To fix this, the agent had to cancel the order and place it again with correct amounts.

TL;DR: It will work eventually, but expect problems when using multiple gift cards.

when you get that e-giftcard, make sure to use it immediately. i been putting off my purchase and i was one day (more like 7 hours) late to redeem it. i called, emailed, begged to both Dell and the handling company to no avail. i guess that's their business model to make money.

after that incident, i have one less reason to purchase Dell products.

The promo card is valid for 90 days. It states this in the offers terms:

"Promotional eGift Card expires 90 days from date issued and cannot be consolidated with any other card."

Gift cards work at Dell Outlet -- as well as Dell Home and Dell Small Business -- but not Dell Financial Services.

Paid gift cards do not expire. Promo cards expire 90 days after issuance.

If you used two email addresses to send this to yourself, the $50 promo gets sent to the email address you supplied under then sender not the recipient.

Is it hard to cancel a order from Dell. Notice the gift card deal after I had order the TV. Still don't see my order under "Recent Orders" on Dell.
