eginning May 1, consumers who trade in their current smartphone to AT&T* will be eligible to receive at least $100 off the purchase of a new smartphone, including the new Samsung Galaxy® S 4, BlackBerry® Z10 or 32 GB HTC One®. These devices are normally $199.99 with a qualifying two-year agreement** but, with this limited time promotion, they will be available for $99.99.

This promotion applies to any smartphone AT&T sells, and gives customers access to the latest devices at a fraction of the cost or, in the case of smartphones priced under $99.99**, for free. To take advantage of this offer, customers are encouraged to visit any AT&T company-owned retail store or participating authorized dealer with their previous smartphone that is no more than three years old and in good, working condition. In stores, upon trading in their old phone, customers will receive the $100 credit on-the-spot and can use it immediately. ***

Some trade-in phones may have a value higher than $100. In this case, customers will receive the credit at the higher value.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

11/13/2013 Update ---- This deal is BACK!.

6/11/2013 Update ---- This deal is DEAD. Phones are back to their recycle or minimal trade-in value

Go on their trade in website and print out the FAQs under the "Help" tab.

Can I trade in my device(s) at an AT&T Store?

Yes, you can trade-in your device(s) that you no longer need and use the instant in-store reward towards a new device, product, or service at all of our company owned store locations.
5/9/2013 Update
ATT Corporate Store Reps received emails from Corporate dictating that customers are only allowed 1 trade in per visit. In order to trade multiple phones, you must either visit multiple stores or find an employee willing to take in multiple phones in 1 visit.

Still alive. Find stores that don't lie to you.

Ignore the merged OP. The real Slickdeal is here:

Which phones qualify for $100?

Confirm that the phones you are turning in/buying qualify for $100 before you go to the store.‎

You will get the exact value shown in store. If it shows $5, you will get $5.

Only the phone + battery + back cover are required. Charger and/ or data cable are not.

Do I have to be an ATT customer?

Trade-in's - YMMV. I had to start a gophone account (paid only $10 and got a free SIM) and used that.

Buying full retail devices - at corporate stores YMMV. Some required no account. While others required at least a gophone account. Promo cards can be used at or through 1800/phone. Ask to sign up for month-to-month service (credit check will be run). You have 3 days to cancel and get all your money back. Wink

Where can the promotional giftcards used at?

Promotional cards must be used at B&M corporate stores,, or over the phone only.

What can I purchase with these?
Things you can buy:
  • ATT wireless bill
  • ATT Uverse bill
  • iphones
  • ipads
  • any smartphones
  • gophones
  • prepaid minutes

I added pics of some eligible blackberry's, the optimus elite along with the receipt showing the $10 FB coupon discount

Will need to give it a try. At first, I thought you need to use the credit to sign up for a new plan (not an option for me) but in the fine print, it says that it can also be used in store for accessories.

***Trade-in credit will be issued instantly via AT&T Promotion Card in AT&T company-owned retail stores. Participating authorized dealers will provide instant in-store credit or their own promotion card. Credit from authorized dealers may be applied to the purchase of AT&T devices and accessories, but may not be applied to charges for AT&T services.

Yes. You will get the same $100 card but you're going to have to take a contract.

Sadly, ATT likely brought this back to fire employees who don't follow the rules.

You can still start 5 lines, get 5 $100 giftcards, and cancel later. But again, this deal is as good as dead.
wondering if ETF would count as "wireless service bill"
i have to pay ETF for 3 iphones...
