eginning May 1, consumers who trade in their current smartphone to AT&T* will be eligible to receive at least $100 off the purchase of a new smartphone, including the new Samsung Galaxy® S 4, BlackBerry® Z10 or 32 GB HTC One®. These devices are normally $199.99 with a qualifying two-year agreement** but, with this limited time promotion, they will be available for $99.99.

This promotion applies to any smartphone AT&T sells, and gives customers access to the latest devices at a fraction of the cost or, in the case of smartphones priced under $99.99**, for free. To take advantage of this offer, customers are encouraged to visit any AT&T company-owned retail store or participating authorized dealer with their previous smartphone that is no more than three years old and in good, working condition. In stores, upon trading in their old phone, customers will receive the $100 credit on-the-spot and can use it immediately. ***

Some trade-in phones may have a value higher than $100. In this case, customers will receive the credit at the higher value.

11/13/2013 Update ---- This deal is BACK!. http://www.att.com/gen/press-room...le-devices

6/11/2013 Update ---- This deal is DEAD. Phones are back to their recycle or minimal trade-in value

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go on their trade in website and print out the FAQs under the "Help" tab.
Quote :
Can I trade in my device(s) at an AT&T Store?

Yes, you can trade-in your device(s) that you no longer need and use the instant in-store reward towards a new device, product, or service at all of our company owned store locations.
5/9/2013 Update
ATT Corporate Store Reps received emails from Corporate dictating that customers are only allowed 1 trade in per visit. In order to trade multiple phones, you must either visit multiple stores or find an employee willing to take in multiple phones in 1 visit.

Still alive. Find stores that don't lie to you.

Ignore the merged OP. The real Slickdeal is here:
http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=59261624&postcount=70

Which phones qualify for $100?

Confirm that the phones you are turning in/buying qualify for $100 before you go to the store.
https://tradein-program.att.com/h...c=en-us‎

You will get the exact value shown in store. If it shows $5, you will get $5.

Only the phone + battery + back cover are required. Charger and/ or data cable are not.

Do I have to be an ATT customer?

Trade-in's - YMMV. I had to start a gophone account (paid only $10 and got a free SIM) and used that.

Buying full retail devices - at corporate stores YMMV. Some required no account. While others required at least a gophone account. Promo cards can be used at att.com or through 1800/phone. Ask to sign up for month-to-month service (credit check will be run). You have 3 days to cancel and get all your money back. Wink

Where can the promotional giftcards used at?

Promotional cards must be used at B&M corporate stores, att.com, or over the phone only.

What can I purchase with these?
Things you can buy:
  • ATT wireless bill
  • ATT Uverse bill
  • iphones
  • ipads
  • any smartphones
  • gophones
  • prepaid minutes

I added pics of some eligible blackberry's, the optimus elite along with the receipt showing the $10 FB coupon discount

Does anyone know if they will accept multiple phones for trade-in? I have a bunch of smartphones.

It has to be with activation so only one phone per activation.

I'm thinking this could be combined with the HTCone rebate though. link below. So if you have two smartphone trade one to ATT for $100 then send the other to HTC's affiliate for another $100(or more)

Not that good a deal. If it's 3 years old and newer and in good working order, I can sell my smartphone for more than the $100 AT&T will give me. However, for a no hassle deal, it's great.

Hi, can you tell me the details of your plan. My mom's line is eligible for an upgrade this month and I wanted to get her an iPhone 5. I'm assuming the $60 is for your minutes. What are the other $30 charges under "Additional Features." I thought one would be data plan, but nothing under there. is it unlimited messaging, but what's other one?
Also, do you think I could jump in on this deal under my family plan? If I could replicate this deal, I'd definitely think about, only having to add $30 data plan to her line (she currently does't have data) and paying $10 OOP rather than $200 for iPhone5.

thanks

Feel free to chime in for opinions/suggestions for iPhone vs HTC One all!
Worst case is that if my mom doesn't want this phone, i can swap her w/ my 4S.

Oh and here are some things I just looked up for HTC One that you may be interested in.

How did you get them to accept the 150.00 off coupon when the coupon states valid 5/9/2103 to 6/2/2013 ? Also what number did you call ? The main customer service number for at&t wireless 1-800-331-0500. Did you get this deal in-store? and did you get the free accessory bundle that it shows on the Costco site ??

anyone got a trade in value of an infuse? I am kind of skeptical of trading it in for an s4 because the infuse still has a value of $150-200 on ebay.

This trade-in can be any smartphone on any network tats been released within the last 3 years. For example, any blackberry curve 8530 from any carrier is worth $100. My local AT&T store is taking an unlimited number of trade ins. This means 6 black berry curves means $600 in giftcards that can be used on any accessories, phones, tablets, and even to pay your bill. I bought 10 8530's on EBay for $200 and got $1,000 in giftcards! Turned $200 into $1,000!
