Watch the 4:55 part of the video and can judge for yourself on the screen quality.

https://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=5999524&sdfpid=94280&sdpid=59197722&sdfid=9&lno=1&trd=http+www+youtube+com+watch+v+VHp&u2=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DVHpW4FMiqlU

Fun things to do with the buttons:
Soft reboot -> Vol+ and Vol-, press and hold together for 10sec
Screen Shot -> At the Same time Press Power,Vol+ and Vol-
Recovery options and tools -> When the tablet is off, press and hold the Vol- then also press and hold the Power button until the screen comes on,goes off then comes back on again. Then hit Vol+ to get to the menu
(Vol buttons may change function depending on tablet orientation, the recovery option above was done with the speaker on the top & buttons on the right)

Compatible with the Square credit card reader? Yes!

ROOT:
READ EVERYTHING BEFORE PICKING UP YOUR TABLET. YOU BOUGHT IT, ITS UP TO YOU NOT TO BREAK IT.
Google is your friend if you want to know why to root.

1: Drivers.
The PANTECH drivers are available from their website. Just install the PC suite. It's actually a handy tool and better than samsungs Kies, which I can't get to work anywhere.

2. This blog is a little confusing but read the comment by Josh_Phy for what is almost a 1 click root. Download the dropbox file, unzip it and click the batch file.
http://pantechburst.blogspot.com/...ement.html

This info is also in the Rootzwiki thread: Look at post 157
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/22981-...try1048482

You must read the whole thread. ICS info is new. The first post won't help as those instructions are for GB. Please read and become part of the community. A word of warning: Spoonfeeding is not encouraged or rewarded; be polite and respectful to people who put their time in to fully exploit the potential of these devices.

3. Titanium Backup: Buy it. This is the single most useful app in the entire marketplace. It slices, dices, chops, Juliannes, and does so much to Android that the OS wonders where it has been all its life. Once installed, back up EVERYTHING, upload it somewhere so you'll have a safe backup.
3a. Freeze bloatwear and if after a week or so, you don't notice any problem, then delete it.
3b. As you delete bloatwear, please update this wiki with what's safe and what isn't.

4. Custom Recovery (TWRP) for ICS is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...p=41235707 Follow the instructions.

5. Apps2SD available in the Android store for FREE. I (mavblues) use the one by Gregory House. Works fine - however, it appears to move the apps to the media partition of the internal SD, as opposed to the external SD. However, it's still useful to free up lots of space to add more apps.

If you can't root, I'll try to help, but you must learn to fish, rather than having the fish thrown to you.

POST-ROOT ESSENTIALS: (fill in below)

SuperUser (gives full 'admin' access to other apps) https://play.google.com/store/app...user&hl=en

Yes, it comes with Google Play upgradable to Google Market Place Store.

As far as docking stations . .. the Micro USB power connector is on the bottom of the tablet. So,, are you wanting a docking station that is powered on all the time? Not really good for the battery either. If Not.. just buy the $5 AT&T Bodyglove case previously posted. It is a stand also.

Or.. look for a universal docking station on Ebay. There are lots of them that would work.
yeah was looking for one that is plugged in all the time and standing up nicely so the wife can read/view recipes while cooking me my dinner

Well, it depends on if she would use it in portrait or landscape position. If she used it in portrait, then the connector would be on the side. But actually, even if she used it every day for recipes for an hour or two, the battery would last most of the week. On standby (screen blank but still powered on) the battery is stated as lasting 25 days.

There are many possibilities on how you could do a docking station. The power connector is actually the micro USB connector so any 2 amp USB power wart with the right cable would do the job when mounted on a docking station.

Well, this can be set to power off automatically after a certain period of time if that helps. Wink

i don't know about that bro.

if you are able to find an app and a bluetooth receiver that would enable you to perfectly receive and disconnect calls, and if receiving calls is far more important that it can stay in your bag most of the time, i would say it won't be an issue at all.

However, i used to have a 7inch HTC tablet and it wasn't fun carrying it around unless it was in my bag.

Wow this would be perfect for txt messaging (and quick email/web research) on the road (not while driving of course - I'm not joking). Now to find a cheap $10/month plan that will work with this thing. I also like the possibility of using a VOIP system of somekind, however, even if void didn't work well the other features would be enough.

What do talkin about.. it has bluetooth reception and app can be found on app market with voice recognition.

Back on the old people carry 10.1" laptop and still see people carry it.

Warranty? Returns? Included accessories? Doesn't look like you get any of these.

how do you like it? Any instruction for ICS update? TIA.
i like it just fine. did notice some issues with sound, skype was misbehaving when installed along side netflix. force closing skype seemed to kill off any bg processes that might have been tying up the audio.
