Exact ones currently are offered on amazon and eBay for$25 each, and they sell there. Just checked completed listings on eBay. I think its a nice deal at $13 a shirt, but I don't care much for a designer brand when it comes to a plain tee.
Only if you knew the quality difference. They last forever and will not loose color. I own probably 20+ polos and 15 t-shirts. They have easy lasted 5+ years and most of those have at least seen 25 washes.
If you get the polos on sale they normally can get to $30 and thats from macy's or a department store along those lines. Not an outlet mall because the quality is different. (so im sorry to hear that cost a limb for you).
But once again it is a personal preference. I would rather spend $30 to have a shirt that look good, doesn't have a busted collar, and will not fade. Most people would rather go to Kohl's and buy their garbage shirt that will not last or even look good for that matter. I trust RL and would not buy any other brand, but i also wont pay the retail of $75 because it is just ignorant to do that.
I'll have to take your word for it, because I haven't owned a RL Polo shirt in over 30 years. I wore them all the time in junior high school, when they first came out, but I gave them up before starting high school. I'd actually be embarrassed to wear one today because some people consider them such a status symbol.
I don't wear polo shirts much anymore, but those I do own usually cost me $15 or less and they work fine. However, I only wear them while sailing or boating, so I don't really need a nice polo shirt in those instances.
I'm sure RL polo shirts are nice, so if you can get them for $30 then more power to you. I've seen them that inexpensive, but that's still more then I'll pay for a polo shirt. It is a reasonable price for a quality polo shirt, though.
As for Kohls, I actually agree with you, because I'm not a big Kohls fan, either. My small polo shirt collection contains brands ranging from Original Penguin to Old Navy. There is definitely a difference in the quality among different brands, but what you may not understand is that I basically consider a polo shirt to be a t-shirt with a collar and I don't pay a lot for my t-shirts, either.
