Question: How to use up the amount in the newegg prepaid rebate credit cards...

pug_ster 226 May 2, 2013 at 09:10 AM
Okay, dumb question. I've got prepaid cards as rebate over the years and the amount has always ends with "0", IE 10.00 so I have no problems using them filling money on my NYC metrocard. Now I am getting these amounts like $12.99, $17.99, which does not allow me to refill in that amount and such and I am trying to figure out how to spend them. Does anybody know how can I use up the amount buying stuff? Thanks.

You can do that but they only come in whole dollar amounts.

Can you use the cards on Amazon Payments to turn them into cash?

You can buy yourself an egift card in any amount from Amazon. That or pay at gas stations, groceriy stores, etc. as others have noted.
Close, you can buy an Amazon GC from 0.15 cents on up...
I have two cards with 0.01 & 0.02 cents left on them, is there anything I can do with that, heck can I even donate itConfused
I just don't want them to get even 0.01 cent back laugh out loud

i'm going to get a big stack from NE. Can you just slide a bunch of them when buying stuff from say, walmart?
Yep, although some cashiers get angry when you start using 3-5+ cards in one visit.
Staples is usually the best for me, never give me a hassle no matter how many cards I use, problem is they know me by sight now laugh out loud

Lately I've got too much out in rebates and I've been trying to buy Tigerdirect FAR items with newegg VISA GC so I can just get a check from AMEX nod
