I got the laptop and the speakers were pretty damn bad but I was able to fix the sound to my satisfaction.
What I did was right click on the speaker icon in the task bar. Select playback devices, select the speakers, select properties, go into enhancements, then select equalizer. On the bottom, you should then be able to choose one of a few settings, I chose bass since I thought that was the best, or you can also adjust it to your own specifications. The sound isn't perfect but it's much better than what the speakers were producing before. Hope this helps anyone who has purchased the laptop!
