The one I returned had a 9k count and was mounted on a tripod a lot because of sign of wear. I sure hope I am as lucky as you.
Some are lucky and get almost brand new cameras. My body had just over 2,000 shutter count, more than I expected. But was in absolutely mint condition, look like it had never been touched. So I kept it.
Ordered a T3i body on Monday afternoon and it was delivered yesterday...didnt even pay for faster shipping..took the free shipping. Looked brand new and only had 57 clicks on the shutter count. Quite happy with my purchase!!
ended up getting the 17-40 ...recently sold my 50/1.4 and wanted something on the wide end. 16-35 was my first choice and eventually I ended up settling on 17-40...Hopefully I made the right choice for my passion for landscapes.
I'm a bit furious because I just noticed that the transaction went from Pending to completely disappearing on my Amex account. I contacted Canon, and they said it was "canceled during credit card verification". I called Amex, and they said it was approved on 5/21. Called Canon, and they said all they know is that it was canceled during the online credit card verification ... which sounds shady to me. I told them that Amex said the charges were approved, so I'm not sure what your "credit card verification" could've seen to cancel the order (without ever notifying me). All she could advise was to try to reorder (which of course the prices are now doubled since the promo ended).
