Mygofer has the 3-Gallon TNT Pancake Air Compressor with 2" Brad Nailer and 10 Piece Accessory Kit for $53.99 when you apply the code GET10. Store pickup is free (availability varies). This is the same compressor kit Sears sells branded as a Craftsman Evolv with a different color scheme. It has 4 stars out of 22 reviews and the Evolv branded version has 4 stars out of 236 reviews, so for an oil-less compressor it has pretty good reviews. Product Description

Ensure All Of Your Carpentry Needs Are Met With The TNT 3-Gallon Air Compressor Kit
When you are looking for a single kit that includes virtually everything you need to build wooden furniture, finish home improvement projects or create a custom outdoor deck, the Air Compressor kit with 25 Ft. Recoil Hose is an affordable option. At the center of the kit is a durable air compressor that has a built-in handle for convenience. Powering your nailers has never been easier, and the 3-gallon pancake compressor is solidly grounded on rubber feet. The compressor’s pump is oil-free to ensure reliable operation and minimal maintenance.
The TNT 3-gallon Air Compressor Kit also includes the most commonly used accessories and parts to make your purchase as easy as possible. While the compressor is portable, you can also take advantage of the 25-foot pneumatic hose that comes with the product. To make all of your connections, a 10-piece accessory kit is included. For your trim projects and minor home repairs, the compressor is complemented with a 2-inch brad nailer. You can also rest assured about the quality of the entire unit as there is a 2-year limited warranty.
  • When you need a reliable way to power your nailers, the Air Compressor kit with 25 ft. Recoil Hose is a complete option
  • For reliable power, the 3-gallon compressor has an oil-free pump

Hey, I bought one of these at K-Mart on Black Friday, I think I paid a bit more. It works well and seems to be good quality, my only issue is when the compressor is on there's an incredibly annoying whistle/whine, man do I hate that. I like the nailer and I also have a micro pin nailer that's really great with it.

Been waiting for a deal like this. I nearly bought the evolve branded set on sale for $75, so I'm glad I held out. For some reason, I got free shipping, so that sweetened the deal for me...and the $10 in SYW points I had brought the total to $48. Thanks!

In for two. One for myself and one for my father! Good for a boat I'm hoping!

Might there be an air leak that is causing the whistle?

Is this compressor strong enough to use with a 3" nail gun for stud framing? I don't care if I can only do 3-5 nails at a time, I'd just need it to be able to power a few nails in at a time to hold my frames together. TIA!

I highly doubt it. You'd be best getting a porter cable 150 psi compressor from lowes or home depot for around 100 bucks. That or get a nice drill or impact driver and use 2 1/2" deck or drywall screws. We do that a lot for small framing jobs instead of lugging out the compressor. Alot easier to unscrew than unnail toolaugh out loud

That's not a bad idea. I prefer using screws anyway. Is that crazy for framing a 1500 square foot basement? :-D

I just tried to order and if you go below the 59.99 price it takes away free shipping.

Not crazy, but it would be quite a bit quicker to use a nail gun for 1500 sq ft. Screws are cool for a wall extension or addition, but that's a lot of screwing (and predrilling if you're doing it right) for an entire basement.

Even better, use metal studs/tracks and panhead screws. Easy peasy.
