Thanks, the Hugger is a nice deal at $28, plus 10% DCB. I have one in my bedroom, grabbed 2 more as backups.

General ceiling fan question: can I remove the god awful lights from these things? Do they come with some form of cover panel that goes where the light kit would be?

thanks op. if I can make a recommendation to people get a fan bigger than 60 inches. we have either a 60 or 68 and not only is it quiet it pushes allot of air even on low. but it does not make a lot of wind to dry out your eyes and stuff. but be prepared to pay more. IMHO it's am worth it though.

Wish the product listings would show CFM/Watt. Would like to go with a more energy efficient model, but looks like there's no way to sort by that.

Avoid candelabra base bulbs! They are a PITA to find decent bulbs for a fan!

Also, get the models that have the blades that remove easily by depressing a retaining clip for easy cleaning.
