Paid via Paypal and just got the 2nd email from Walmart after order confirmation that says this:

I've been trying to purchase a game on walmart.com and keep getting my order cancelled.I've tried thrice so far. Once with paypal, twice with a CC.
Called Walmart, and surprise surprise, they blamed Paypal and my CC.

I did a search here, and saw that many had posted about getting this in the various hot deals and I was wondering if anyone figured out the reason why? Or a fix?

Thanks.
I'd really appreciate the help.

Yeah...I didn't really follow who they want me to call either...

As for Walmart...they do have a number.
And where there's a will, there's always a way [gethuman.com]. Smilie

P.S- Click on "they call you instead" and you won't even have to hold. The system will call you when there's an agent on the line ready to talk to you. Cool huh?

except they will not help you with your order. They will tell you that all orders that are experiencing payment error must be handled via email. You will then get this reply

Hello Jeremiah,

Thank you for contacting Walmart.com regarding your canceled order. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

Unfortunately, the payment information included in your order did not pass some of our security checks during processing. These checks prevent unauthorized use of your credit or debit card.

Please verify the following:

• Card type (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) does not match the card number
• Card number is incomplete or entered incorrectly
• Expiration date is incorrect
• Name, address or phone number does not exactly match billing information
• Verbal authorization, failing to provide verbal authorization when order is processing will result in cancellation.

For the security of our customers, we are unable to provide the exact reason for this cancellation.

Please visit Walmart.com and sign in to your account to edit your payment information so that it matches exactly how it appears on your credit card statements.

Because your order was canceled, the authorization hold on your card will be removed within 3-5 business days. If it is not removed, contact your financial institution for questions about their authorization policy. Walmart does not control this charge

Jeremiah, while we strive to deliver the best experience possible, we apologize that certain conditions sometimes prevent that from happening.

Oh I thought you were referring to the fact that there was no way to call Walmart.
All I was doing was showing you that there is. I must have misunderstood you.

And yes, if an order gets cancelled, there is NOONE that can help. I learnt this firsthand. The only recourse is to wait a day or two and try to place the order again.

I kind of was? If you get the email that says your order had been canceled. It only offers an email address that you can use to "contact us"

Okay...
Well, in case you ever need the number for anything else, now you have it.
Cheers.

Costco.com operates in much the same manner. I recently placed an order for some vitamins and had the order cancelled several days later with a generic email that instructed me to verify the usual information. I emailed them for further details and literally received identical information in their response - which was in fact no information at all. I placed the order again and once again, it was cancelled. This time when I emailed them, I received no response at all. A week later I called them and after over one hour on the phone, I was told that my Costco membership had expired. I removed the number from my account, placed the order again, and the problem was solved. Why it took 2 cancelled orders, 2 emails, and over an hour on the phone (over the course of several weeks) simply to tell me that the orders were rejected due to an expired membership is beyond me.

My mom had this issue multiple times with large $ orders this past holiday season. She had a few orders a week or so apart for like $500 to $600 each and they were all cancelled by Walmart within the first 30 minutes of processing. Walmart said it was her bank's fault. She called her bank and they told her that there were absolutely no blocks on her bank account and the funds were there so it was Walmart's fault. Every order that was cancelled created a hold of her money for over 10 days. She called up Walmart corporate to raise hell about the issues. In the end, after probably 10+ phone calls back and forth with corporate as well as faxed letters explaining the situation of the funds being held for improper cancellations, she received a $100 gift card in the mail for the trouble. My mom still cannot place an order on their website for anything over $50 (She actually tested it and a $50 order went through but a $60 order would be cancelled...). I'm not sure what Walmart is thinking cancelling orders for no apparent reason but they are definitely losing sales and it's obviously not just my mom that was having issues... :-/

I've been trying to order a camera. Tried 5 times. Order keeps getting cancelled.
Finally gave up and bought it at Bestbuy.

Each time I'd call, they told me that the problem was "fixed" and won't happen again.
Finally on the 5th try, got an honest agent who told me that no matter what I did, the problem was going to happen and they had no idea how to fix it.
The only suggestions he could give me were to either try "Site-to-store" or to try from a new account.

Damn. That's what I was going to try.
But looks like that's not possible either.

Have you tried "site to store"? Do those orders get cancelled as well?
