He didn't ask about DTD. He asked about Discount Tire. That means YES, he has to wait until Friday.

4th of July weekend every year
Do you think they'll have a $100 Michelin AND $100 DTD rebate for July 4th this year? I really need to get a new set of tires, but I can wait until later this year if a better deal is coming soon...

The question I am struggling with is whether or not it's worth applying for their card to get an additional $85 off.

Or purchase from DTD so he does not have to wait.

Seems like a great deal. I haven't ordered tires online from Discount Tire, and not certain I fully understand. I see the date differences in the rebates, and looks like best deals are today through discounttiredirect.com as there are brands like Michelin where I can get $70+$35+$100. How does this work with installation? Can you have shipped to store and installed? Trying to understand how to best get 4 tires cheapest at a local Discount Tire. Can someone please walk me through this?

I got 85,000 mile warrantee Pirellis with this deal 3 years ago and after 32,000 miles tread is dead.

I wonder if they'll give me the $150 on top of the credit for unused miles. Wink
You can definitely get a prorated rebate if your tires fell that far short of the warranty. I am sure you could get a significant instant discount off of a new set of 4.

just noticed that Hankook has a great catch rebate of up to $80.00 off a set of V12s

http://www.hankooktireusa.com/gre...itions.pdf

hopefully the two can combine
I second this. Does anyone know if they'll combine? The Hankook rebate requires original receipt, but the DTD rebate requires "ORIGINAL or ISSUED REPRINT" receipt.

Depends on where he wants to get them installed. It's $16 a tire if you go through Discount Tire. I believe it's $19.95 a tire if you go through DTD but want them installed at Discount Tire. I also see some price differences between the two sites for the same tire. It just depends what the person wants to get the best deal.

YOu can submit the rebate online for dtd and they wont require you to send any paperwork. You can then send out the receipt to hankook.

A friend of mine did this last year and got his dtd rebate in 3-4 weeks and hankook rebate in 7-8 weeks.

Awesome! A set of Hankook H727 tires will be $211 after the rebates Smilie. That's almost $100 cheaper than tirerack.

I need to go ahead and take the plunge. I need new wheels and tires and it's 0% for 6 months, not that I would let it go over a month or two at most. After all the rebates I would only be paying $200 over what the normal price is for the tires to get new wheels, can't really beat that. +4

You buy the tires online, probably don't pay tax on them because you bought from discount tire direct (if you buy from discount tire the store, you pay tax), you have them shipped home and you throw them into the back of your car/truck for installation at the local garage. Installation should be around $50-60 locally.

I don't think you can count on getting all of those rebates back. Note that the 70 one can't be combined with other deals. The 35 rebate requires you pay with their discount tire direct credit card. I'd just be happy with the 100 rebate and the no tax on the purchase, shipped to your house.

Good luck. I've done this a couple of times. UPS i think drops off the tires at my front door, in pairs of two, with plastic straps keeping them together. Hope that helps.
